Everybody Wants Lucy {Ch.30}

Recap: Rebeca's POV

He might still be on the beach. Dad if he is there you leave. Do not confront him. We are not ready to take him on yet. You have to promise me dad." Lucy said. And for the first time I heard fear in her voice. Her father walked over kissed her on the forehead. "I promise we will do exactly like you said honey. I am so very proud of you." He said and she smiled weakly. Then her father and Dietrich's dad left.

"Lucy what do you need now?" Her uncle asked as he pulled her into a hug.

End Recap Lucy's POV

"There isn't a lot of time. So you three need to listen and do everything I say." I said and they nodded. We can't do it here. I sent word and have a place being prepared as we speak. Rebeca you need to stay here." I said.

"I want to help you. I need to be with you." Rebeca said.

I hugged her tight I didn't know if I would see her again.

"I need you here. When dad gets back I need you to tell him I'm with uncle Benny. That I needed to do this without him. But that I love him the way he loved mama. Arken's mom will be with him. She is going to want to take Arken home. You must convince her he needs to be here until he wakes up." I said.

"How am I supposed to do that?" Rebeca said.

"I removed the poison so Arken will be fine. However he's a beacon until he wakes. Then the dark night can find him and kill them all." I said then Dietrich and Uncle Benny gasped at the same time.

"He's behind all of this." Uncle Benny roared.

"Uncle I don't have time to explain that now. Rebeca I put a protection on this house, Its hidden from his view. You must keep Arken here. His mother will listen to you." I said.

"How can you be sure?" she asked.

"One your fairy and everybody knows fairies Don't lie that well. Two you're a woman, she doesn't trust men to much. You should gather the others and keep them here until we get back. Can you do this for me?" I said and she nodded.

"The other kids were coming back for dinner anyway." Uncle Benny said.

"Good we will give you two a minute to say goodbye. Uncle Benny can I talk to you a minute?" I asked and Uncle nodded.

"Lucy where are you guys going?" Rebeca asked?

"I can't tell you or dad will read it." I said.

"Your father can read minds, since when?" Uncle said.

"Not ours he can read anybody not related except Uncle Cedrick. I think that's a warrior thing. And I don't know how long. Now I really need to talk to you. We are running out of time." I said.

I started to leave the room and Uncle followed me.

"Ok so listen after I transport us there won't be a lot of time so you need to know what to do." I said.

"I'm listening." he said and I told him everything.

Rebeca's POV

"I don't have a good feeling about this Dietrich." I said.

"Miss Lucy knows what she's doing." Dietrich said.

"You better be safe and keep her safe." I said.

"I will do my best. Rebeca I love you" Dietrich said.

"Its about time it took you long enough." Lucy chuckled and Dietrich blushed.

"I love you too, both of you." I said and looked at Lucy. She winked at me.

"We have to go." Lucy said she took Dietrich and her Uncles hands and they were gone. I felt like my whole world just left. Then I prayed they would be ok.

Uncle Benny's POV

We materialized in the castle study of the dragon realm. My father was waiting for us, Lucy ran to him. He scooped her up in a big hug.

"Grandfather, I have missed you so much." Lucy said.

"I have missed you to child. I just wish it was under better circumstance." Father said.

And just like a switch being turned on. Lucy went from a child who missed her grandfather to all business.

"Is everything ready?" she asked.

"Just like your note said. The room, all though I don't think its necessary." he said.

"It is! Is the seeker ready and the serum?" I asked.

"Its already my child. Are you sure there is no other way." my farther said to Lucy.

"There isn't now we need to get started. Where is the room." Lucy said.

"This way." dad said and sighed.

He led us into a room with a huge comfy looking bed. Except for the shackles attached to the huge iron post at the four corners of the bed. Lucy walked over and picked up a shackle.

"You had them lined with fur?" she laughed.

"If you have to be restrained it is going to be as pleasant as that can be." my dad said.

"Grandfather you are to special for words." Lucy said with tears in her eyes.

"Now can you please tell me what all this is about." my father said looking a little bewildered.

"Well Uncle Benny is going to have to give you the details. I feel myself weakening, I need to take the serum before its to late. And I need to talk to Dietrich first, alone."

Dietrich's POV

Miss Lucy's Uncle and the king left. Then Lucy turned to me. I have never seen so much sadness in my life.

"Dietrich I know you are my warrior, and will do whatever I need. However you are my friend too. What I am going to ask is dangerous. We could both be lost forever. I need you to decide as my friend not my warrior. I want you to have a choice. I also want you to think about Rebeca." Lucy said.

"Miss Lucy I will do whatever you need as your friend and warrior. Also Rebeca would never forgive me if I didn't do everything to protect you." I said.

"Ok I have a fight ahead of me. At the end of this fight I need you to enter my mind and help me find my way out." she said.

"How am I supposed to do that?" I asked.

"Our bond is why you can do it the seeker is how." she said.

"How do I know when?" I asked.

"I am trusting my uncle to know that." she said.

Then she walked around the bed sat down and took a bottle off a night stand. She drank it and held a shackle up to me.

"Will you do the honors" she said.

"Do you really need these?" I asked.

"Its for my own safety." she said.

I did what she asked. She sighed and layed back on the bed.

"Are you ok Princess?" I asked.

"Yes just a little scared but don't tell anyone." she said.

I sat down close to her head. She snuggled up to me and I realized for the first time. How young she was to have so much responsibility. Maybe her father and uncle had been right to shield her from all of this.

She fell asleep right before they came in the room.

Peace out
