Chapter 1

Jessie's POV

Today was adoption day. Apparently a couple would chose between Anna and I.

I took a shower and threw on a Hamilton shirt my friend got me when she went and jeans.

I go downstairs and have breakfast.

"Jessie the couple will be here in 15 minutes so hurry up." Ms. Jenna said.

I eat breakfast and wait in the living room area.

Anna skips down in a very revealing top and skirt.

"So I hope you're ok with me being adopted and not you." She said very rudely.

"Ok sure bimbo." I said and she glared.

"Jessie the couple would like to see you." Ms. Jenna called.

I walk in and see the one and only Lin-Manuel Miranda.

"Hi are you Jessie?" He asks.

"Yes." I say in shock.

"I like your shirt." He said jokingly. "So we were looking at your file compared to Anna's, and we would like to adopt you."

"Wait what?" I asked.

"If you don't want to it's ok, we just like you more than Anna." Vanessa said.

"No I would like you to adopt me but why me?" I was very confused at this point.

"You seem like an awesome kid. And you like Broadway and pizza. Anna doesn't. And as you may know, that's important in my life." He laughed.

I laughed a bit. Finally I said "I'd be glad to."

I walked out as Anna was sitting up.

I put my hand out. "Anna you don't have to go in there." I said.

"See I told you they would adopt me." She said with a smile on her face.

"Actually no, you don't have to go in because they adopted me." I stated with a big smile on my face.

"WHAT?!?!" She screamed. "NOO!"

"Hey Jessie can you start packing?" Ms. Jenna asked me.

I ran up to my room and packed my clothes and other things.

But as I sat down on my bed for the last time I tried to get the fact through my head that the Lin-Manuel Miranda was a adopting me.

This is a lot to take in.
