Chapter 2

Jessie's POV

I am quickly snapped out of my thoughts when I hear a knock on my door.

"Hey uh Jessie you ready?" It was Lin.

"Yeah one minute!" I say as I grab my LG phone.

I open the door and see Lin pacing down the hall.

There is something seriously wrong with him.

"This is my shot. This is her shot. I am not throwing away our shot." Lin kept repeating under his breath.

"Lin." I said awkwardly. "I'm ready." He turned around.

"Ok good." He walked toward me and grabbed my suitcase. "This is pretty light. That will probably change when you have that girls day with Pippa and Reneè this Sunday. Ok let's go Niñita."

"Niñita?" I ask.

"Little girl. You're my little girl now." He smiled.

"So um Lin what should I call you and Vanessa?" I question him.

"Well you could call us Mom and Dad, Papa and Mama, or Lin and Vanessa." He said as he walked down the stairs.

"Ok. So.. When are you going to tell your fans about me?" I ask.

"Good questions Niñita. I have absolutely NO clue." He sighed.

"Well maybe wait? Do you have a Ham4Ham or whatever it's called?" I asked him.

"Ooh! We have one tomorrow night. We can announce it then! Good idea Niñita!" He replied excitedly. "And tomorrow you can meet the cast! They've known that we were adopting and wanted to meet you! You're filled with ideas Niñita!" He laughed.

Tuesday
Lin's POV

So it's the next day. Jessie and I are preparing to go to the theater. This is the first time she will meet the cast, be introduced to Hamilfans, and see Hamilton! I'm very excited. The best part is that Groffsauce is coming as well to meet her!

"You ready Niñita?" I ask Jessie. She looks at me and smiles with a nod.

I know it's very early to introduce her to people but it's hard to if you are in a Broadway musical.

"So Niñita,I'm planning on a new musical... Can you help?" I ask her.

"Well I learned that Eliza created the first private orphanage. So one called Schuyler? Or Burr's side of the duel, maybe Burr?" I laughed at her suggestions.  "Oh I know! One about a musical genius named Lin-Manuel Miranda! Call it LMM!"

"That's a bit narcissistic don't you think?" I chuckle.

"Ok, you have a good point." She laughs along. "Maybe one about Broadway writers? Call it The life of a Broadway writer!"

"Still narcissistic because I'm a Broadway writer." I laugh. "Ooh look we're here! This is my home away from home."

We run in to The Rodgers and I hear Pippa scream.

"THERE YOU ARE LIN! OH MY IS THAT HER?! SHE'S SO CUTE!" Pippa squeals as she hugs Jessie.

I try to pull Pippa off of Jessie but she doesn't budge.

"ANTHONY! CAN YOU HELP?" I call for Anthony. He comes running.

"WHAT LIN? IS THAT THE GIRL? SHE IS ADORABLE!" Anthony screams and hugs Jessie and Pippa.
