Jessie's POV

Toby and I are waiting in Lin's dressing for the show to be over.

"Nobody needs to know." I faintly her Lin sing.

"Jessie I need to tell you something." Toby says in a loud voice.

"Shh! They can hear you out there!" I whisper yell.

"Ok sorry." Toby whispers.

"So what do you need to tell me?" I ask him.

"It's our one month anniversary! I got you something." He tells me. I completely forgot.

"Toby I forgot to get you something. I'm sorry." I admit.

"No problem. It's a simple gift anyway." He tells me.

"What do you me-" I ask him and then his lips collide with mine.

After a few seconds of being in shock I pull away. "There's your gift." Toby says with a smirk on his face.

"Toby..." I say with wide eyes.

"Jessie, I really like you. Your dad and I seem to be good, he's already invited me over to have dinner with you guys tonight. The cast seems to like me. Except Groff. He's really..."

"Really protective? I know. Where are we going for dinner? Because my parents don't cook big meals."

"You'll see when we go." He smiles and goes back to scrolling on his phone.

I don't know if I should tell Lin that he actually kissed me. They seem good right now and I don't want to ruin it.
