Chapter 17-Court day pt 2-

Lin's POV

It was the day of court and Jessie and I were being sworn in. Jessie was going to talk first.

"Do you promise to tell nothing but the truth?" Our attorney said.

"I do." Jessie said and sat down.

"Ok miss Jessie. Where were you on the day you were taken?" Sean asked.

"Freddy's Pizza." Jessie said truthfully.

"Why were you there?" Sean asked.

"My dad's friends had a bet. Boys vs girls. Whoever lost had to pay for the winning teams pizzas. The girls won so Phillipa Soo and I went to go get the pizzas for us and the girls." Jessie said.

"What happened as you were being taken?"

"Pippa asked me to unlock her car while she got the pizzas. I did and I was going to sit in the car while the man grabbed me and threw me into the back of his van."

"How did you tell your dad where you were?"

"After the guy stopped at his house I texted my dad and said help."

"What did the man do?"

"He told me he was keeping me for ransom and he hit me and I blacked out."

"Thank you Jessie." Sean stepped back while the man's attorney came up.

"So miss Jessie, what were you wearing on that day?"

"I was wearing my Hamilton hoodie, leggings, and boots."

"What kind of pizzas were you getting?"

What kind of questions are these?

"Hawaiian pizzas. That's all of our favorite kind of pizzas." Jessie said. That's true.

"What was the bet? And why were you a part of it?"

"We were having a bet of who could have the better sleepover. I was a part of it because the females of the cast wanted to get to know me better."

"Ok that's the only questions I have."

The judge said. "Ok we are going to have a brief recess. After that Mr. Miranda will testify."
