Chapter 55

Jessie's POV

"You're mom was in an accident. She's in a coma." Lin says and I burst into tears.

"No..." I cry. "This can't be happening. I want to see her."

"That's why I was looking for you. We need to go now." Lin says and he takes me to a room.

"Oh my god.." I say when I see Vanessa connected to IVs. "Vanessa please wake up." I grab her hand.

"Jessie, I need to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back." Lin says and leaves Seb with me.

"Sissy! What's wrong with mommy?" Seb asks me.

"Mommy is in a long sleep right now. She'll wake up soon." I say. "Mom, if you hear me, squeeze my hand."

Nothing.

Soon Lin comes back.

One week later

Vanessa's been in a coma for a week now, and she's had no sign of waking up.

I grab her hand. "Mom, please wake up." I say and I feel a squeeze. "Dad!"

"What's wrong Mija?" He asks.

"She squeezed my hand." I tell him. "Mom, squeeze my hand if you hear me." She squeezes my hand tighter.

"Vanessa!" Lin yells. "Please wake up!"

Vanessa starts to open her eyes but closes them when she sees the bright hospital lights. "What happened?" She asks.

"You were in a coma. But you're up now, it's okay." Lin tells her.
