Chapter 45

Vanessa's POV (ooooh plot twist)

"What's wrong?" I ask Lin as he comes back from Jessie's room.

"I'd rather not talk about it." Lin sighs and lies down.

"Lin, talk to me about it. I'm her parent too." I tell him sternly.

"Fine, your lawyer powers worked on me." He chuckles. "And according to Jessie, we aren't her parents."

"Hun, what do you mean?" I ask him confused.

We then hear a loud thump.

"Oh my God." Lin says getting up and rushing out and I follow.

"Mija!" I yell when we see Jessie on the kitchen floor next to a pill bottle and a bottle of water.

"I'm..." Jessie mumbles before she passed out.

"V! Call an ambulance!" Lin tells me and I do what he says. "Mija... Niñita.. Jessie.. Please wake up. Please..."

Lin's POV

"Mr and Mrs Miranda?" A doctor comes out.

"Uh that's us!" I say and he walks over to us.

"Jessie needed to have her stomach pumped and she should wake up in a few hours. We think she took over 10 pills." The doctor says and Vanessa starts to cry. "With young children like her, after they attempt suicide -after seeing the impact of it on their families- they will most likely not try to again."

"When can we see her?" I ask.

"You can see her now. Just remember it will be a few hours until she wakes up." The doctor informs.

"Oh! Another question. Are visitors allowed? We have a lot of people coming." I ask him.

"Yes but a few at a time. Jessie's in room 254." He says and walks off.

I text the cast telling them that she should be fine and they can come visit.

"Mija!" Vanessa runs to Jessie's bed side. "Lin you need to tell me what happened."

I tell her what happened, with her interrupting a few times to curse me out.

"I regret it so much, V." I finish when Pippa, Jazzy and Reneè rush in.

"Lin! What happened?" Pippa asks.

"She tried to.. Kill herself." Vanessa explains.

"Oh my God. Holy shit." Jazzy says.

"What?" Reneè asks. "You're kidding me. Jessie wouldn't do that."

"I'm not guys. I don't know why she would." I admit and tear up.
