Chapter 15

Lin's POV

The police and I get to the place where my Niña is. "OPEN UP!" An officer yells. No answer. He knocks the door down.

"WHERE'S THE GIRL!" He yells.

"SHE'S DEAD!" The man yelled and my heart fell.

She's not dead.

The police run in and immediately arrest the man.

"Where's my daughter?!" I yell at the man while he's being led out.

"I KILLED HER!" He yelled and was put into the police car.

I try to run in but the police don't let me in. "PLEASE! SHE'S MY NIÑA! PLEASE LET ME IN!" I fight against them. Finally I push through them and run into the house.

"JESSIE!" I call out.

"Lin?" I hear her call out.

"WHERE ARE YOU?!" I ask.

"The basement! I'm tied to a chair!" She yells out again.

I run to the basement and there she is, with a giant bruise on her face.

"Did he hurt you Niña?" I ask untying her and grabbing her in a giant hug.

"He hit me. That's it. I blacked out though." Jessie says and starts to cry. "Can we please go home?"

"Yes Niña."
