Lin's POV

We were about to go on break when I get a text from Jessie.

Lin! I'm having so much fun here. I'm at lunch with a new group of friends already! Amber, Tobias, Keith, Abby, and Ashley. They all say hi btw. :)

I smile. I'm glad she's already made friends.

That's great Niñita! Maybe one day they can come to the show. Next Saturday at 2? :D

I immediately get a reply.

Sure! They all said yes but they'll have to ask their parents. Oh can I go to the movies with them on Friday? We want to see Finding Dory =p

I stop. I'm hesitant with my reply.

Uh sure. Whose parent is going?

It takes a minute for her to reply.

Amber's mom I think. I knew Amber when I was in the orphanage at my old school.

The smile comes back to my face along with relief.

As long it's with an adult you trust, you can go.

What kind of homework??

I get a long response:

English, which is a weird grammar page. American History, which is about Hamilton. Math which is fractions and decimals. And then my other classes which I haven't had yet.

I laugh at the Hamilton part.

Well I don't know too much about Hamilton but I do know a guy who is extremely awesome that wrote a musical about him. You gotta talk to him :)

Haha very funny dad. Will do. I gtg finish my lunch and I'll see you later. Love you.

I reply.

Love you too kiddo. Have fun don't do anything stupid

I close out of my phone and smile. Pippa walks over to me with a confused look.

"Lin, what are you smiling at? You're scaring me."

"Jessie's already made a group of friends and they've already made plans to hang out. She did better than I expected." I smile.

"When will we get to meet them?" Pippa asks me.

"Next Saturday they might come to the show." I explain and she nods.

"Then after we will meet them backstage right?"

"Yes. They will Pippa. But let's not be creepy."

"Says the guy who has this picture going around of him being creepy." Pippa says pulling out her phone.

"What picture?" I ask and she shows me this.

"See." Pippa shows me.

"Ok so you're right but who has this picture of them?" I say and show her this.

"Screen grab? Lin seriously. Screenshot. Not screen grab." Pippa laughs.

"What the heck is a screenshot?" I ask and she laughs even harder.

"A 'screen grab'. Lin you are so undereducated."

"Oh. Well I'm going to eat. See you at rehearsal." I say and go to my dressing room.
