Chapter 21

Lin's POV

After the first show I went to lock myself in my dressing room until 7. I might take a nap.

"Hi Lin." Jessie says, popping out behind the fan mail I have piled up.

"Oh my Hamilton." I yell.

"Turn on the news. I want to see the stupid things the politicians said today." Jessie says.

I turn on the tv to the news channel.

"Today we have breaking news. Monday afternoon Jessie Miranda was kidnapped from Freddy's Pizza. She was held captive in the kidnapper's basement for 5 hours before Lin-Manuel Miranda and authorities showed up. Philip Burr has been charged 10 years with attempted kidnapping, attempted ransom, and attempted murder. He has a $30,000 bail. Next on the news is what Donald Tru-" I turned it off.

"Lin, why was that on the news?" Jessie asked me with her eyes wide.

"Good question Niñita." I check my Twitter. Of course people are asking me about it.

I tweet out "Don't worry everyone. Jessie is perfectly fine now. Just a bruise."

"Lin..." Jessie says.

"What Niñita?" I asked.

"I'm scared. People are going to go crazy. The might try to take me." Jessie starts to cry.

"Don't be Niñita. You'll be with me 24/7 now." I hugged her and rub her back.
