Chapter 36

Jessie's POV

After this morning I decided to bring Toby to meet the cast. I like him and I want everyone else to like him.

"Jessie are you sure this is a good idea?" Toby asks me.

"Toby, my mom likes you. We just need Lin and the cast to." I tell him.

He looks at me and then at the ring. "I gave you that ring so I could promise you that I'll make you happy. If this is it, I'll do it."

"Thank you Toby." I say hugging him.

Le time skip to theatre.

"Okay, let's go in." Toby sighs and grabs my hand.

Lin doesn't know that I was coming with Toby. He doesn't know at all.

We walk in and see the cast rehearsing. "Hey Jessie!" Daveed yells, interrupting Leslie in The Room Where It Happens. "Who is that?"

Toby looks at me. "Uh this is Toby." I say.

"Oh is that the boy you kissed?" Anthony asks me.

"Um..." I whisper.

"Hey, you don't have to do this today." Toby whispers in my ear.

"No, no I want to do this today." I tell him. "Let's go introduce you to everyone."

We walk down the aisle to the stage and introduce him to everyone. The girls thought he was adorable and the guys kind of like him-I think. The last person to introduce him to was Lin.

"Hey dad." I say hugging Lin. "This is Toby. Toby this is my dad." I introduce them and they shake hands.

"Nice to meet you, sir." Toby stutters. "I would like to apologize about what happened-"

"No need. It's nice to meet you. Now if you'll excuse me- EVERYONE! WE NEED TO GET BACK TO REHEARSING! LETS GO!"

"We can go to my dad's dressing room. We can decide what we are going to do for the short story." I tell Toby and lead him to Lin's dressing room.
