Today my family decided to go to a peach-themed festival in Weatherford.
Which was an hour away... *_*
so I brought my summer reading books in the car and annotated the first chapter of Lord of the Flies.
Lord of the Flies by William Goulding was written in 1962. It's about a bunch of boys who are the only survivors of a plane crash on an island.
Some people say it's really good and some people think it's really boring, but after reading the first chapter I thought that it was pretty good. It's extremely detailed so there's lots of great imagery, but because of that I can see why some people get bored with it.
My other summer reading books is The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey.
My school is making us read it because we're basically going into the age in which is gets more "difficult" to cope with and keep up with school and activities and desires and all that.
I haven't started reading it though, I will when I finish Lord of the Flies.
Anyways the peach festival was basically a bunch of shops and food and peaches.
We got these peach Popsicles and I thought that they were gonna be really good because I've had one before, but this brand sucked and so did the Popsicle! It had little peach flavor and a lot of gritty, mashed up peach seeds in it.
Also my dad bought be these cute little metal roses!

OK I'M GETTING OFF TOPIC!!
But I want to do something really crafty and awesome with the metal roses but idk what yet! Maybe I'll hot-glue magnets to the back of them and stick them to something? Or I'll just keep em as they are now and use them as some sort of pretty decoration.
