why can't I have a meme phase

People with meme phases are obviously my favorite.

But not people with emo phases.

I remember when I used to go to public school, I had to take the bus. At the bus stop, a bunch of older kids would dye their hair weird dark colors and have too much dark makeup and clothes on and would literally blast my chemical romance like ??

to be honest, they really scared me at the time.

Anyways, I wanted to reiterate the purpose of this book.

But seriously, it's not a "diary". I do have a separate journal for more "emotional" things and it's more detailed with things I obviously would not like to share on the Internet. Here I post funny things that happen to me, about hanging out with my friends, stuff I do with my family, places I go, etc.

I like to think of it more as a blog. A fun, easy way to express yourself. And that's all I'm doing, but it's just online, so other people can see such as my friends and family.

It doesn't matter to me if it's online or not, it's just a form of expressionism to me.

One of the primary reasons on particularly why I began this book was to look back on it in the future and to learn more about myself. I actually find writing pretty therapeutic at times (wow that sounded really dumb but it's true) and it helps me get through things. It's a hobby, and that's that.

But I started this book about 7 months ago and it has been really fun to keep up with and look back on! The other day I was reading my first chapters and I was actually a really embarrassing person (I mean, I still am now, of course) but I still found it cool to look back at myself.

This is why I'm always addressing a "Future Ashley" because I know I'm going to look back on this and laugh. I don't understand why that's a problem.

But um, yeah. Future Ashley, now you know exactly why you started this thing.

I'm going to end this here because I just came back from tennis practice and I'm superrrrrr sore and tired and exhausted about today 😅
