Around midnight, there was a tap on her dormitory window.
She opened up the window but didn't take a look at who was there.
"Go away, Draco. I didn't finish our conversation earlier for a reason. You broke up with me. I don't want to talk to you. Go aw-"
"Hermione. It's me, Harry. Are you ok? I knew there was something going on. Do you want to talk about it? Come on. Get on. We can talk about it."
"Harry! I- I'm ok, really. It's fine."
He grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the window and onto his broom. They flew out to the roof of the tower and sat for a while.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"No."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Ok. Just tell me when you want to go back to bed."
"Ok."
She leaned her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes.
"Harry?"
"Yes, Hermione?"
"I'm glad we're friends. Thank you for being here for me."
"I'm glad we're friends, too. I'm here for you. Ron is, too. Well, not here at this moment, but he's here."
"Thank you."
There were many minutes of silence. So many minutes that the sun started to come up.
"Hermione? I'm going to fly you home now, ok?"
"Ok Harry. Thank you. I needed this. Thank you."
Harry flew her back to her dorm window and let her back into her dormitory.
"Hey, Granger."
"Harry?"
"Good night. I'll see you tomorrow."
She smiled and closed her window. Harry flew off to his dormitory and Hermione fell asleep very quickly.
