Chapter 34: Flying Notes and Sinking Ships

"Everything's going to change now, isn't it?" Hermione clung to the pillar as Harry and Ron started to go watch Durmstrang's departure. Harry won the Tournament. But during the maze challenge, he was taken to a graveyard with a portkey. He and Cedric were taken. Pettigrew killed Cedric and used Harry to revive Voldemort.
"Yes," spoke Harry. They went on to watch the departure.
"Promise you'll write this summer, both of you!"
Ron scoffed at the request.
"Oh, you know I won't."
"Harry will, won't you?"
"Yeah, every week."
As they watched the large ship sink into the water, a paper bird landed in Hermione's hand.
"What's that?"
Hermione looked at Ron and pulled the paper to her chest.
"I- I'll be right back."
She stepped back a little bit and unfolded the bird.
Your beauty cannot be hidden. You may have felt beautiful only on that night, but you always look beautiful to me. Meet me in the Astronomy Tower in two hour's time. I wish to tell you how I feel.

"S.A.? Who's that?" Ron had followed Hermione and left Harry on the balcony they were just on.
"It means Secret Admirer."
"Who would be secretly admiring you?"
Hermione felt her cheeks get hot.
"It may surprise you, Ronald, but some people may find me attractive."
"Oh, like Ferret?" Professor Moody- at the time Barty Crouch Jr.- had turned Draco into a ferret. Harry and Ron now called him that.
"No! I- I don't know how he feels, but we are just friends. I don't know who this may be. Viktor just left."
"It's obviously Ferret Face. He sent a paper note to Harry last year!"
"I don't think so, Ronald. We've exchanged notes. This isn't his handwriting."
"I'm telling you, 'Mione. This is from Malfoy."
"Are you jealous, Ron?"
Ron tried-and failed- to hid blushing cheeks.
"N-no! I... You... That's completely besides the point! I don't think you should go alone. With you-know-who back, it could be a trap. I'm going to go with you."
"I can take care of myself, Ronald. But if it will make you feel better, I'll bring Draco. We are very close."
"Whatever, Hermione. Be safe."
