Hermione woke up.
Tap tap tap
"Granger get up!"
She sat up and walked to the window.
"Draco? We haven't done this since second year!"
Hermione smiled and opened the window.
"Come on, Granger. Let's go."
She climbed onto Draco's broom and clung to his waist. When they landed, Draco took a bag from his pocket.
"What's that?"
"Remember that first time we came up here and I had that flower and this bag? I never got the chance to give you the gift."
Hermione scrunched her face.
"Draco, you don't have to give me anything."
Draco didn't care.
"I've had it for years. It's been sitting around in my trunk since I was eleven. I want to get rid of it. And it was originally meant for you, so I'm giving it to you."
He handed over the bag. It was a small fabric drawstring bag with a long cord that acts as a strap.
"This is a really nice bag, could I keep it?"
"Sure. I got it in hogsmeade at some shop. I just needed something to put the gift in."
She opened the bag and dumped it into her hand.
"Oh, Draco. This is beautiful!"
She looked at the necklace. It had a small silver quill on it, along with a golden scroll of parchment.
"I knew you were gonna be smart, so why not have something that shows it?"
Hermione lifted her bushy mess of curls off of her neck.
"Put it on for me?"
Draco smirked and took the necklace out of her hand, wrapping the chain around her neck and clasping it.
"How do I look," she said, replacing her hair onto her neck to fall gracefully down her back.
"Gorgeous."
She felt her cheeks heat up with a red blush.
Draco and Hermione sat in silence for a while. The sun began to rise when Draco spoke again.
"Can I tell you a secret?"
Hermione looked at him, tracing his pale features with her coffee eyes.
"Sure, Draco, what's up?"
He turned to face her and lost himself in her brown eyes.
"You have to promise not to hate me."
She nodded her head and looked into his silver eyes with confusion.
"Why would I hate you?"
Draco took a deep breath.
"Be-because..."
He looked down at his hands in his lap.
"Because is still love you."
Hermione's eyes widened and filled with tears.
