She woke up with a jerk.
It was half past eight and she had overslept. She threw on her uniform and ran to breakfast. She had fifteen minutes until breakfast was over. If she hurried, she could still build a scraps plate of food. The sunlight coming in through the windows reminded her that it was, in fact, May, and not December like in her nightmare. She had dreamt about Draco again. She dreams about him a lot. Not good things. She dreams about him breaking up with her over and over again. She dreams about him hurting Harry and Ron. But the most often dream is the one where she watches him being tortured with the crucio curse and she can't move to help him. That one is the one she had last night. They were out in the snow. She was shivering. She could hear Draco's screams. She couldn't move. She was calling out to him, "Draco! Don't worry Draco! I'm coming to help you!" But she couldn't move.
She wasn't even sure if he had heard her. Then a cold chill had awoken her. Her forehead was dripping in a cold sweat. She saw the clock and threw on her uniform. Running with her shirt untucked, her tie untied, and her socks scrunched up to her ankles.
She made it to the Great Hall with five minutes to spare. There were hardly any students in the hall. She grabbed a scone and a scoop of eggs and stuffed them into her mouth. She took one last pumpkin scone and ran back to the Gryffindor tower. She was chewing when she got up to her dormitory. As she picks up her books, quill, and scrolls, she looks at her clock. Her lesson started ten minutes ago. She felt sick to her stomach. She walks with her books to the washroom and throws up. Standing up, she wipes her face and walks to the Infirmary.
"Nurse Pomfrey? I-"
She throws up on the floor.
"Oh honey! Come sit. Come lay down. You look awful. I've had kids coming in all morning with stomach aches. I believe it must have been something from breakfast. Come. I will tell Professor Mcgonagall that you are here."
"Thank you Madam Pomfrey."
She lies down and closes her eyes.
"Granger. Hey. Wake up Granger. Come on. Get up."
She opened her eyes and saw white blond hair. Then brilliant silver eyes. Then a kind, pink smirk.
"Draco. What are you doing here? What about your lessons?"
"I don't care. Snape can yell later. I had to tell you something. I-"
"Hermione? Well it's nice to see you up. How are you feeling dear?"
"I'm feeling fine Madam Pomfrey. Thank you."
"Well I'm afraid visiting hours aren't until after lessons have ended for the day."
Oh, I'm sorry. Draco will be leaving soon," she turned to Draco, "I'll see you later? We can talk later. Goodbye, Draco."
"Oh, um. See you later, Granger."
She smiled as he turned to leave. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.
