"I just hate him so much! Why would you talk me into going out with him? He is such an arse! He isn't even notici-"
Hermione was sick of Ginny's complaining, so she put a silencing charm on her.
"Silencio! Ginny, shut up already. I'm sorry that he is being an arse, but Harry is noticing. That show you two put on outside of the Great Hall had him mumbling curses at Draco all night. He was a wreck! Finite Incantatem!"
Ginny could talk now.
"You didn't have to silence me with magic, you know. A simple 'Shut Up' would have done just fine."
They have been at Hogwarts for a month now, and things suck. Especially Defense Against the Dark Arts class.
"Umbitch gave Harry detention. Again. What does she have against him?"
"Well she works for the ministry and the ministry doesn't really believe Harry at the moment. In fact, they despise him because they think he made up Vol-" she still couldn't say it, "You-know-who's return."
"What arses."
They went down to the Great Hall for lunch. After sitting down, Draco walls up to the table and taps on Ginny's shoulder.
"Hey, Gin. How were your morning classes?"
"Hey, Drake. They were boring, as usual. But Harry got detention again. He'll be here late. Do you wanna sit?"
She patted the seat next to her. At the Gryffindor table. Everyone around looked up to see his reaction. Even the teachers at the front table were staring. Hermione waited for a scowl or a gag but Draco just smiled and sat down.
"Thanks Gin." He pecked Ginny's cheek and took her hand under the table. Hermione was impressed. She could tell that Ginny was too. He really was a good actor.
"Why is Malfoy sitting over here?" Fred and George walked up to the table and took seats next to Hermione, Fred taking the closer one and wrapping his arm around her waist.
"I wanted my boyfriend to join me for lunch."
"Oh, I was gonna ask you guys if you wanted to join me and Ron outside," spoke Harry. He had appeared behind everyone and looked a little disappointed to see Draco.
"Let's just go, Harry. We can ask someone else. Cho and Lavender, maybe. They seem to have interest in us." Ron was looking at Hermione while saying Lavender's name. Draco noticed and clenched his fist. The fist that was attached to Ginny's hand. She winced and pulled her hand away.
"What's crawled up your arse, Malfoy?" asked Ron.
"Nothing of your concern, Weasel."
Harry and Ron walked away with their lunches. Before leaving the Great Hall, they both asked Lavender and Cho to accompany them, and they had said yes. Ginny's face fell when she saw Harry and Cho walk out hand-in-hand.
