"Hermione, dear! Come on honey! You have to get through to the platform. You're going to miss the train."
"I know mum. I'm going. I'm going. I love you. I'll see you at Christmas! Goodbye!"
She waved, turned, and pushed her cart through the wall between platforms 9 and 10. She stops the cart and scoots to a halt. Then a flash of white hair comes into view.
"Granger. Let me get that cart. Come on. We're gonna miss the train. Where's Weasel Bee and Potter?"
"I haven't seen them."
"Well come sit with me, Crabbe, and Goyle. Pansy will be there too."
"Oh, maybe. I'm going to wait for Ron and Harry. They are my friends."
"All right Granger. Come find me if they stand you up."
"Ok Draco."
She turned to walk onto the train when he called her name again.
"Hey Granger! You broke your promise!"
She started to panic. She couldn't remember what she had promised him. She ran back to him. They were and inch from each other now. He whispered gently to her.
"You didn't write to me."
He sounded hurt. His breath smelled like peppermint. His lips were pink and soft. And so she kissed him. When they parted, his lips weren't the only things that were pink. She felt her face get hot as well.
"What was that for, Granger?"
"An apology. See you later, Malfoy."
She smirked and walked away. She could tell that he was dumbstruck by the way he didn't move for a few minutes. She took one last look at him and boarded the train.
