------------Money will take over the world. We are all a slave to fucking money, and we don't even really realize it. We are fucking slaves. I let money ruin the best thing that ever happened to me. Now, I'm watching Matty walk out of my life as he figures out that I have been using him for almost a year.
"Matty! Wait! It's not what you think!" I cried, running after him as he walked towards his car.
He ignored my words and tried his best to get away from me quickly.
"Matty! Stop!" I screamed, begging that he would turn around and forgive me. "Please don't just walk out on me. You promised me you would never give up on me." I cried, my voice going quiet towards the end.
"You promised you wouldn't hurt me! You promised you wouldn't lie to me! You told me you loved me. I told you I loved you. I told you I fucking loved you, Candace. Does this mean anything to you? When was the last time you got paid?" He yelled.
"I do love you, Matty! I promise I-" I started before getting cut off.
"When was the last time you got fucking paid?" He yelled.
"Daniel paid me three weeks ago." I said in shame.
"Fuck you, Candace. Fuck you." He spit out.
"I told him that I was done with the payments, Matty. I told him I was done getting paid for anything. I told him that all I wanted was to be with you. I don't need the money, Matty. All I need is you."
He didn't even reply to what I was saying. He just shook his head and continued walking.
"I don't want the money, Matty. I don't want anything Daniel has to fucking give me. I just want you. Take it. Fucking take all of it. I don't need it, I only need you." I cried.
I see him turn around with the same sad expression on his face as before. For a second, I think I see him consider coming back over to me. For a split second, I really think things would be okay.
"All the money in the world wouldn't make me want to be with a girl like you. Everyone was right about you. They told me it was too good to be true. They told me I was going to regret this. They told me you were only sticking around for something. I'm such a fucking idiot, Candace. You made me look like a fucking idiot. We're done, Candace. We are fucking done." He said, before turning around and leaving.
How the fuck did I get here. What the fuck was I thinking. I threw away the best thing that ever happened to me. All for what? For money? The love of my life is driving away, and it's all my fault.
