"You look...absolutely fucking beautiful." Matty said, eyeing me up and down. The dress I was wearing was a long sleeved, olive green dress that hit just above my knee. I wore black tights with maroon heels. Knowing it's going to be cold, I made sure to pack my favorite maroon peacoat.
"You don't look too bad yourself." I winked playfully. Really, Matty looked hot. His dress pants and button down shirt made him look like he was going in to work, but I always loved his dress clothes. The button down shirt hugged his biceps nicely. God, he was so attractive.
"Let's go make sure Phoebe is ready. Then, we will go." He said as we walked down the hall to Phoebe's room. After knocking on the door, we walked in to see her trying to button up her peacoat. She was basically wearing the exact same outfit as I was. She always loved matching with me, so whenever I bought clothes, I would buy her something that looked similar to mine.
"Having some trouble?" I laughed, noticing that the coat was buttoned incorrectly.
"Yes." She huffed, looking up at me with frustrated eyes.
Matty bent down and unbuttoned her coat, and then re buttoned it quickly. He didn't say anything, he only looked between the two of us before finally speaking.
"You both...you're...there are no words for how pretty you two are. You two are the cutest girls I have ever seen in my entire life." He complimented, giving her a kiss on the cheek. "We need to get you a bit more bundled up for the ride to the restaurant. I don't want you getting too cold." He said, pulling a small blanket from out of the closet and wrapping it around her small frame.
"Matthew! We're about to leave!" We heard Daniel yell from downstairs.
"Ready, ladies?" Matty asked, holding his hand out for me to grab.
"Ready." I smiled.
The ride to the restaurant was beautiful. We took a ski lift up to the top of the mountain where the Game Creek lodge was, and then rode in a tank-like vehicle to the restaurant from there. It was absolutely breathtaking up here. The sun was setting during the lift making the view twice as amazing. Matty let Phoebe sit on his lap during the ride, and she didn't mind whatsoever. He wasn't kidding about it being cold. He had the two of us wrapped in a large blanket, fearing that we would get too cold on the way here.
The restaurant was extravagant and...well, completely lavish. Words can not even begin to describe this place. There were many people that filled the dining hall, but we were seated quickly with no wait at all.
"Candace, darling. You look absolutely stunning. Oh, and you look very grown up, Miss Phoebe." Lizzie said once we got seated.
"Thank you so much. You are the one that looks amazing though!" I said back. Lizzie was wearing a longer cocktail dress that hugged her figure nicely. Her hair was up in a polished bun on top of her head and she had a beautiful pearl necklace wrapped around her neck, as well as matching earrings.
"She does look beautiful, doesn't she?" Daniel agreed, speaking to all of us for the first time tonight.
"Oh stop it. You two are looking very handsome tonight. They clean up nicely, don't they?" Lizzie joked playfully. I loved how sweet and carefree she seemed to be.
"Well, let's have a drink as we all talk about how good we look." Matty laughed, flagging down the waiter and ordering a bottle of champagne and wine. He made sure to order some apple juice for Phoebe, but had them put it in a wine glass so she would feel included. When the waiter brings the bottles to the table, Daniel grabs the champagne and opens it with a loud pop.
"So, Candace. Phoebe. How are you two enjoying the trip so far?" Daniel asks as he pours the champagne into our glasses.
"This is amazing. Everything so far has been absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for allowing us to come along." I thanked him.
