Rachel’s POV
Uwian na nga. Aww. Gusto ko pa makasama new friends ko here. Good thing I have their phone numbers. Wise ata to. I’m here at the parking lot, waiting for my best friend, Iza. We’ll go shopping kasi eh. It’s just a week before her birthday. We’re planning for a pool party since they have their own resort. I-invite ko sina Krizza. I'll let Iza know and ask for permission.
“Great! You’re here.” Nakita ko na papalapit si Iza.
“Yeah. So shall we?” She asked.
“Oh sure bestie. Hop-in.” I told her.
And we went off. Sa mall…
“Bes, we’ll part ways muna ha? I need to buy something for uh… my mom.” Paalam ko sa kanya. Ayan. Nagdahilan nanaman ako. White lie naman yan eh. I need to buy a gift for her birthday. I want to surprise her. I want to make her cry on her special day. And syempre, tears of joy.
“Oh sige bes.” Sabi niya sakin.
“I’ll call you after bes. Or call me.” Told her with a smile.
“Yeah. Yeah. You told me so. I’ll wait for you. I’m going to buy clothes for my birthday as well.” Iza stated.
“Oh. Ok. Take your time bestie. You should look your best huh.”
“Oh hell yeah. It’s my day. Duh?!” Sagot niya ng nakangiti.
“Yeah. Yeah. Whatever bes.” I said sarcastically.
“You better get going bes. See yah later. Love yah.”
“Ok. See yah.” Paalam ko sa kanya. And so naglakad na ako. Few minutes after, nandito na ako sa favorite boutique namin sa mall na to. As I entered the shop, hinanapan ko siya ng dress na alam kong magugustuhan niya ng bonggang bongga. Kami kayang dalawa ni Iza ang mga expert sa fashion. Halungkat dito, halungkat doon. Hanap dito, hanap doon. At last, I finally found what I’m lookin’ for. A very beautiful dress. Magugustuhan to ni Iza for sure.
“Miss may size po ba kayo nito?”
“Para kanino ho ba?” Tanong sakin nung saleslady.
“Para po dun sa kaibigan ko.” Sagot ko.
“Ang ganda naman po ng napili niyo. Teka anong size ho ba?”
“Magka-size lang ho kami. Ako nalang po ang magsusukat.” Sagot ko dun sa saleslady.
“Ok po. Hintay lang po kayo saglit dito at kukuha ako ng size na fit po para sa inyo at ng kaibigan mo.”
Tingin ako sa oras. Lakad dito, lakad doon. Tagal naman ng saleslady. After a few minutes…
“Miss eto na po.”
Good. Anong petsa na nung dumating siya. Kinuha ko yung mga dala niya at isa isang sinukat. Not the usual fitting. I mean, parang tinignan ko lang kung fit. I think this one fits to me perfectly. And as far as I know, magkasing-katawan lang kami ni Bestie Iza.
“I’ll take this one miss.” I said to the saleslady.
Then I went to the counter and paid it. Medyo may kamahalan nga lang pero ok lang yun. Para kay Bestfriend naman eh. Maya-maya…

Sino naman kay tong tumatawag?
“Yo. Sup?” Pagsagot ko sa phone.
(San ka na bes?)
“I’m on my way to the parking lot.”
(I’m already here. Bilisan mo ok?) Nagmamadali nanaman siya.
“Yeah sure.” I hung up. So I went there as fast as I can. Baka mainip si Iza. Then I arrived. Dala ko ang paper bag kung saan nakalagay yung dress na binili ko for her.
“Anong meron bes bat parang natagalan ka ata.” Tanong niya sakin.
“Uh… yeah. Hirap kasi hanapin ng pinapabili ni mom.” Palusot ko.
“Ah. So shall we go?”
“Yeah. Come on. Ah bes, can I bring Krizza, Paola and Luzy?” Pagpapaalam ko.
“Oh yes. Go ahead. That’ll be fun.” Aniya.
Hinatid ko na siya sa bahay nila. Sinalubong ako agad ni Tita Annabeth. Nagkaroon lang kami ng konting conversation then umalis na ako. Deretso ako sa room ko. I need to take a bath again. Mom’s not around. I guess nasa bahay siya ni Tita Liza. Remember Tita Liza? She’s the mother of Sean Paul. After ko maligo, diretso ako sa bed ko and started having conversation with my new friends using my phone.

Guys I need your presence this coming June 22. That’s Saturday. On Flynn’s Private Resort. Birthday ni Iza. You need to be there before 4PM. Pool party guys, so bring extra clothes. See you there.

See. Di nila ako matiis. All set. Hinihintay nalang ang June 22. Eh June 18 pa lang bukas. Time is playful nga naman. Pag nag-eenjoy ka, ang bilis ng oras. Pag naman bored ka, ang bagal. Haaaay nako. I can’t wait for that day. Then I went to sleep. It’s already 10:00PM. May pasok pa kami tomorrow. Good night sleepy heads.
