"Babe?" Dan questioned as I began walking back towards my home.
"We were supposed to meet up." I stated, and I heard Dan swear under his breath.
"Sorry, Lia. I had a meeting to go to and I completely forgot."
"What meeting was it?"
"I..." I wanted to know whether he was going to lie to me or not. A few seconds later I got my answer. "It's one with one of my youtube pals. You know Benjamin Cook?"
"Yeah I do..." I rolled my eyes, anger running through my veins. "I thought he had red hair...I didn't realise he looked like my mother, if I'm truly honest."
"Shit- Lia I can explain!" Dan stuttered as I was just about to hang up. Just before I did, I heard a female voice in the background. One I hadn't heard since my father had died.
"She was always the stubborn one out of the family." My mother said in the background.
I hung up immediately.
I was furious. Dan didn't have the right to do that, no matter what the reason.
My phone began to vibrate, but Dan knew I wouldn't be answering.
As soon as I got home I locked the door, stopping him from coming in. I wanted space for a few hours. I found myself on my laptop in bed, having a skype session with Carrie...while she was on her break.
"He shouldn't have done that, or at least told you! What's a relationship when he's lying to you and going behind your back?" Carrie exclaimed, and I nodded.
"I know...I don't know what to do." I sighed, then jumped as I heard knocking. "One second." I mumbled before heading over to the stairs, leaning over the bannister to hear Dan calling for my name.
"Babe, please, can we talk about this? I know you'd be upset so I didn't tell you!"
I shook my head at him. Unbelievable. Why is seeing my Mom such a big deal? You don't do stuff like that. It's a hidden rule. He knows how I felt about it and he still did it anyway. I didn't reply to him. I put the latch on so he had no chance of getting in.
"Lia! Babe! Babe..." I heard a slight bang, and then a cussing come from Dan. "I'm sorry. I...I guess I kind of knew this would have happened, but I couldn't stop myself....I'm guessing you know why I did it by now anyway."
I took a deep breath, tears filling my eyes. "Don't bother asking me to marry you."
I heard Dan take an intake of breath, then he began choking. "No, no, no. Lia! Please. Please, I love you."
"If you loved me you wouldn't bring that bitch back into my life, Dan. How can I say yes to a proposal now that I know you've told her about it? Probably invited her to the wedding? You must be insane." I turned around and headed back to my bedroom, where a worried Carrie stared at me through the laptop, in a way. Her eyes were cast slightly downward to where my face would actually be on the laptop screen, but it's the same thing.
"Did you really just say that? Oh man, I feel bad for him now. I...I don't think that was a good decision, Lia."
"Would you rather he proposed and I said no then?" I bit my lip, the tears spilling over. I wiped my eyes with the heel of my hand, beginning to sob. Carrie was silent for a second.
"I want to give you a hug right now. Both of you." Carrie sighed. "Let him in. Don't leave him out in this weather."
I looked outside. Even though it was pretty much Summer, it was raining, and I felt sorry for Dan, who was probably crying outside our door this second. On top of being soaked. British weather for you, isn't it?
I nodded sulkily, before climbing out of bed, tip-toeing downstairs to see a small gap in the door which was the only amount of opening the latch would allow. Dan was leaning up against it, sitting on the floor with his head inbetween his knees. I shoved the door shut, throwing him forward to the ground, before undoing the latch and opening the door properly. I didn't look at him as I went back upstairs, going back to my laptop. I knew I would never hurt him physically, but shoving him just then made me feel slightly better.
"Happy now?" I gave Carrie a look, who smiled, nodding, and I heard the door shut, but no footsteps. I frowned, turning my head to see if I could hear any movement downstairs, and when I didn't hear anything I crept out of bed, back downstairs and opened the front door.
"Dan what are you doing out here?"
"You're upset. I deserve to be out here." Dan mumbled, shivering. "I don't care anymore. I don't care."
"Dan of course I'm mad. I'm not forgiving you either, you went behind my back and did what you did. You knew the reaction it would bring in me and you still went along and did it. So no, I'm not going to stand around here and be your pity party. I'll leave your fans to do that job for me." I walked off again, leaving the door wide open for the final time.

Been a stressful few weeks so sorry if it sounds like it's getting to me! Deadlines and all!
I've recently come across a bit of critism on how I write my fanfictions such as the side notes I make and why I choose to update when I hit a certain amount of subscribers.
1. I like writing sidenotes to show you what I get up to or how I feel about something, eg last chapter where I went to the clothes show live... if you don't want to read it, don't :D
2. I do this because it's SO much easier to update like this. It gives me restaint as all I want to do is update, I used to do it everyday which was fine then when I had no life, and could write chapter after chapter but now I'm at uni and deadlines and stuff make it so difficult to balance it all! I This allows me to give time to work on that and then relax about the whole situation.I hope that clears things up! Thank you all for all the support! <3 <3 <3
