19. Where art thy Juliet

Hadrian's POV

I broke away from the kiss and pushed Marcia to the side as I felt my dad come closer. I turned to look at the man who I was a replica of. With the same hair and eyes, he wore a suit meaning he left work to come to my game.

"Who is this, son?"

"I'm Marcia. Are you Hadrian's dad because I haven't ever heard about you-"

"Her?" My dad interrupted her. She pouted as she couldn't finish whatever she was saying.

"I have no choice. Well... I do but she's enough for now," I replied.

"Ce n'est pas bien."

"Je sais," I said irritated. "But Noah claimed the f*cking girl." Marcia looked confused. "Marcia go and get ready for the party."

She gasped and flounced off to do whatever she does. My father and I watched her go, him with a low key form of disgust and me with annoyance.

"She's ...interesting. Raven may kill her and Seth might want to tortured her if you bring her to meet them."

"I won't. I'm breaking up with her soon."

"Very... How do you say it? Savage?"

I laughed and my father patted me on the back - hard. I started gasping for air but he ignored me.

"Well done today. More speed though." His comment reminded me of a certain girl who was coming to my party later.

"Thanks dad," I choked out. He disappeared leaving behind smoke.

I poured out cups of alcohol for the growing people. Each of the team and cheerleaders could invite 2 people so I was predicting around 70 people plus Rhea and whoever she brought. I grabbed a cup and went through the crowd to see if she had arrived.

Tom saw me and gestured that I should come over.

"Hey man," I greeted giving him a fist bump.

"'Sup bro. Have you seen the girls tonight?" He had his arms wrapped around two girls. They waved at me, smiling suggestively.

"Yeah. They're nice. Have you seen Pia?"

"Nah. Ryan said he's going to get her and Rhea like 5 minutes ago."

"Okay. Thanks." I handed him my cup and walked to the kitchen area. Matt was our DJ and he nodded in greeting. I saluted and went through my cupboards to make sure they were locked.

Matt tapped me and mouthed that Ryan had just come in. I got up and looked to see if I could see him. Him and Pia were holding hands but what caught my attention was the boy Rhea had brought.

Before the party - Rhea

After seeing the sight of Marcia and Hadrian, I walked away and bumped into someone. The person's drink dropped to the ground so I rushed to pick it up. I finally saw who it was - Helios from the team.

"I'm so sorry!" I said. He smiled and shook his head.

"It's fine. I didn't like it anyway."

"Oh. I can get you another one."

"Nah. I'd prefer if you'd come to Hadrian's party with me." I wanted to say no but changed my mind as I looked at his reddish eyes. Why should I go alone?

"Okay, then. I will. What heritage are you by the way?"

"I'm a fire fae but my family think I'm more special." He laughed at that. It explained why his eyes were a strange shade of red.

"Ah. Well, my dorm number is 203 so come there in an hour or so."

"It's a date." He went off to his teammates leaving me smiling.

Once Pia had found out about my 'date', she was ecstatic.

"We need to find the perfect outfit!" She went into my wardrobe and started throwing things while I chose some shoes. I decided the black high heeled ones which had a small gold bow on the front.

"I'm wearing these," I warned her. Pia gave me an evil look and smiled.

"They go well with your eyes. I found it!" She pulled out a black strapless dress that had a zip coming all the way from the bottom to the top through the middle. It was tight and short and very sexy.

"Pia, I'm only going to a party with other students."

"Including cheerleaders. We need to make them jealous especially since my leg is still in a cast."

"Fine. And you should get dressed." I grabbed the dress from her and made my way to the bathroom.

"I know what I'm wearing already and make sure you curl your hair!"

After I finished, I came out of the bathroom to see Pia dressed like a model. She wore a blue skater dress and a white flat as she couldn't wear two.

"Wow Pia. I would tap that if I was a guy."

There was a knock on our door and I opened it to reveal Helios and Ryan. They whistled when they saw us and we left to go to the party.

"You look great," Helios whispered.

"Thanks," I said. We opened Hadrian's door to see the room was full and resembled a club.

"It's time to have FUN!"
