She looks so small in her white and blue gown. Her hand is terribly cold and her eyes are closed. It makes her eyelashes longer when she sleeps, she is the most beautiful human in the world. Nobody will be as beautiful as my daughter. She is the most precious person that can exist.

Unfortunately, this morning, I got a call from her school saying she needed to go to the hospital because she fainted in class. I was alarmed because it never happened before, even with her disease. Ten years ago, she was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. My little baby who was only two years old couldn't breathe. It was the most scary thing I experienced.

She had trouble with her health since the beginning, but never did she faint from her condition.

I am still waiting for the doctor to explain to me what happened and tell me if my baby is okay. Her mother is supposed to fly back to England within the next hours, she was in Australia for a photoshoot. Now that our daughter is at the hospital, nothing sounds more stupid than that freaking photoshoot. It is so pointless compared to our daugther.

The first person I called when I arrived at the hospital was Liam because he knows how to calm down people, especially my anxious self. He told me he was coming for comfort and I couldn't refuse, so I just nodded until I understood that he couldn't see me, so I told him he could come.

My foot is anxiously shaking up and down and my head is in my hands until I hear the sound of a male doctor, the one who took my baby in charge.

''-Mister Styles?

-Yes, it's me, what is it?

-Your daughter is now fine, she had low blood preasure, nothing really alarming. However, we found out that her condition is now more critical than it was in the past ten years. It seems like Kayla now has diabetes, which caused her fainting.

-Diabetes plus Cystic Fibrosis? Isn't that a lot to live with?

- There is a big amount of children living with both, diabetes is a complication caused by the disease. As you know, the parts of her body which are the most damaged are her lungs. She has to do less for an undetermined amount of time. Sleep a lot, controling her diabetes, not drinking alcohol-

-She is fourteen!

-I am only warning you.

-Can she come out of the hospital?

-We would like to keep her overnight to see if everything's okay and she'll be free to go tomorrow.

-Okay thank you doctor.

Well, this is a lot to take in. I will need to repeat that to Emily, Kayla's mother, which I really don't want to.

Liam finally arrives and stays with me for the night, until Kayla is free to get out of the hospital. Emily arrives juste before we get out of the hospital so the doctor can repeat to her what he told me.

I can see the fear in Kayla's face. She is never that scared. Back in our house, she makes herself comfortable and I take that as a good moment to go talk to her.

- What's wrong beautiful?

-Dad, the doctor explained everything to me, why do I have to live with this?

-I don't know baby, sometimes life is really unfair.

-Dad, I'm so scared.

-Of what?

- I'm scared I won't have the time to live everything I want to experience before I die.

-Don't talk about that, please.

-You need to hear it dad, I'm not stupid, I know I'm going to die sooner than later. But what scares me the most is not having the time to do everything I want before that moment.

-Let's make a deal. You live your life as the young and beautiful teenager you are and you do not talk about death and I make everything in my power to realise your dreams. How about that?

-Sounds good! You are the best father I could wish for, you know?

-Yes I know that! Now make a list of those things you wish the most.

I watch her the whole time she creates her list. She is so beautiful. I smile when I see she sticks her tongue out of her mouth like when she concentrates. I am so proud of her, she is my trophy.

-I'm finished.

-Already?

- I don't want to do a lot of things, I just want these ones coming true.

I take a look at the list she just created and my eyes immediately water.

1. Mom and Dad spending the holidays together, with me, as a family.

2. Dad writing a song to help children with disease worse than mine.

3. Participate to the marathon.

4. Raise a foundation about Cystic Fibrosis.

5. Finding someone who loves me enough to stay until the very end.

She is so selfless and it's beautiful to see. None of her wishes are materialistic or selfish. Her father is rich enough to own a hundred house but the only thing she wants is a holiday with both of her parents. She is truly beautiful.

-You know what baby? I'm going to work on one of them right now. I think I have an excellent idea.

I kiss her cheek and let her sleep for a while. I work on the song she wants to be written by me the whole night and finally end up with something good. When it comes to my girl, my inspiration can't stop!

The mornight after, I leave the piece of paper with the lyrics to the song on her bed, next to her. I hide behind the frame of her door, outside her room.

When she wakes up, she reads what is written on the paper.

I can see the small tears on her cheeks when she finishes reading. I immediately go to comfort her and take her in a bear hug.

- Dad! It's so beautiful.

-Then it represents you really well. I love you baby, I hope you know that. You are the most beautiful person in the whole world, inside and out. Now, there is one thing you can remove from your list. I promised I would do everything to make your wishes come true and I will stay faithful.
