Liam wakes up to the sound of Watson barking and the alarm clock beeping.
"Liam!! That thing won't stop and it's making me angry!!" Zayn says frustratedly as he tries to get the alarm clock to stop beeping.
Liam laughs slightly and reaches over to turn off the alarm clock.
"It's just telling you you need to wake up," Liam explains with a tired yawn.
"It couldn't have thought of a better way??" Zayn suggests irritably.
"It doesn't have a mind Zayn. It just does what it's always done because it was designed that way," Liam explains as he tiredly stands up and walks over to his closet.
"Well if it was in my Mind of Mine it wouldn't even exist," Zayn mutters.
"That made no sense at all..." Liam tells him with an amused grin.
"Why did it even need to wake me up? I've been up for hours!! I never even went to zleep!!" Zayn continues, ignoring Liam's comment.
"It needed to wake me up, you donut. I gotta go to work today," Liam reminds him.
"No," Zayn says with a sad frown.
"Yes," Liam replies as he finds his 'uniform'.
"Liam do you have to go?" Zayn asks sadly, looking up at Liam with big puppy dog eyes.
"Yeah I have to. But Don't worry. I'll be back before you even know it. And you won't be too lonely. You've got Watson and your new duck friend to keep you company," Liam tells him encouragingly. Zayn nods slowly and rests his head against Liam's chest.
"I'll miss you lots," Zayn says quietly.
"Aw, I'll miss you too. I'll bring you home a donut or something. You'll love it," Liam tells him with a smile. They kiss one more time before Liam leaves to join Harry at the bakery for work."Good morning Liam," Harry greets in his usual slow manor with a friendly smile.
"Good morning Harold!!" Liam replies cheerfully as he ties his apron.
"Well you seem happy today..." Harry comments with a quizzical look.
"What's so bad about being happy?" Liam asks with a huge smile.
"Nothing. You just seem too happy. Especially since it's only 7:30 in the morning," Harry points out suspiciously.
"I guess I'm just in a good mood today. Must be the weather or something," Liam shrugs.
"It's Zayn isn't it," Harry states and Liam gasps in surprise.
"I swear.... How do you know these things?? Are you like... Watching my house or something?" Liam asks.
"I just have a good sense of intuition," Harry shrugs proudly.
"Intuition," Liam mutters in doubt.
"How's Zayn been? Acting strange again or any more... Signs...?" Harry wonders curiously.
"Not really. He really seems to be picking up on things really well and getting the hang of what it's like here," Liam says before realizing he might have said to much.
"What does he need to pick up on?" Harry wonders, his curiosity growing.
"Nothing. Nothing. He's just..." Liam trails off, a sense of panic growing inside him. He had definitely said too much.
Harry grins slightly and raises an eyebrow.
"He's just been a little slow... Probably with that first night he was- the night I found him, and being beaten up and attacked and all the stress and everything hadn't been to great for his memory so.... He's just been remembering," Liam explains coolly.
Harry grins and clearly doesn't believe what Liam was saying.
"You know. I found this really cool blog the other night," Harry starts. Liam sighs quietly and shakes his head. He really didn't want to hear any more of Harry trying to convince him they lived in the year 1708 and and all future documents are forged to cover a 300 year time span.
"Harry..." He starts. "He's not an alien," Liam lies.
"At dinner Friday night, He never breathed. Every time he talked he never stopped once to take A breath. Granted, he didn't talk much, but still. And when he was just sitting there, I didn't hear him breath. Didn't see it. Nothing," Harry shares.
"Harry you don't know that. he's just quiet. And how could he live if he didn't breath?" Liam asks impatiently.
"You tell me cuz I have no idea. Unless..." Harry trails off and Liam rolls his eyes.
"And also, in case that wasn't enough for you, Unless he was blinking at the exact same time I was, He didn't blink for at least 15 minutes!!" Harry adds.
"Where you watching him??!" Liam demands.
"Yes!!" Harry admits. "But that's not the point! Does that seem human to you?!"
"He doesn't breath. He doesn't blink," Liam states. "How does that make any sense?"
"If you're not fully human, it makes perfect sense!!" Harry says.
"What do you think Zayn has green skin and a giant head or something and he's just disguising himself as a human?" Liam asks with an amused smirk, remembering how made Zayn got when he watched that movie.
"Liam. Everyone knows aliens don't actually look like that," Harry states flatly. "It's proven fact all alien species are extremely more intelligent, modernized, technologically advanced, and more evolved than we are," he adds.
"Then why would they want to come to earth then if they're so great?" Liam wonders.
"usually if they have a reason like a to scout out the planet, search for something, or make treaties or agreements," Harry explains.
Without even knowing it, Harry seemed to have a very strong understanding of what the Zaliens were like. And Liam wanted to know everything he could to understand them better.
"Alright. Tell me everything you know," Liam finally says.
"I've been waiting my whole life for someone to tell me that..." Harry admits with a pleased smile as he starts to inform Liam on all kinds of facts and stories relating to this unknown alien species.
Harry was like a brother to Liam and he knew he could tell him anything. He could trust Harry.
"Harry. There's something I haven't been telling you," Liam finally says. Harry looks at him curiously. "About Zayn...." Liam trails off, still unsure if he should continue. "You-you've been right about him this whole time. He isn't fully human."
