ANDREW
First day of school and I hate the introduce yourself thingy. I hate it! don't ask me why...basta I hate it!
"Let's start with the boys from this row." Our class adviser said pertaining to the row where I'm in.
"Hi I'm Michael Facundo 17, I love to dance, cook and playing basketball. Well... I hope we can be all good friends. Thank you!"
"Next!" our teacher said, I stood up from my chair and inhaled deeply as I walked in front of my classmates.
"Hi I'm Adriano Joseph de Vera but please guys just call me Andrew. I love reading books and just like the usual guy I'm playing basketball in my leisure time."
I hates to introduce mysself cause I hate to be called Adriano. Ewan ko ba kasi kung saan nakuha ni Mommy 'yong pangalan na 'yon.
MATINA
I'm trying not to laugh when I heard him introduce himself.
"So, Adriano pala ang pangalan niya?"
I stood up from my chair when our class adviser said that it was my turn.
"Hi everyone my name is Ma. Cristina Aldeguer, but guys, you can call me Matina. I used to study in Manila, I love my school there, I love my life there, but anyways... I'm here so hope you guys will be nice to me. Thank you!" I gave them my sweetest smile.
ANDREW
"Pare do you know her sino siya?"
I just shrugged and did not answered Michael's question.
Michael was my best friend since we're both in our first year in this school.
"Ang ganda niya pare noh?"
Maganda nga maganda rin naman ang ugali.
I just gave him a faked smile.
MATINA
It's lunch time but I forgot to bring my wallet, I left it in my room.
"What to do? Nagugutom na ko!" I said talking to myself. Wala pa naman akong kakilala na pwedeng mahigian ng tulong. Wait...meron pala along isang kakilala but I will not going to ask him for help.
"Hindi ka pa ba mag-lalunch?" Speaking of the devil, he come to my direction. They're all getting ready to their way to the canteen while I'm stuck on my chair.
"Adriano? Don't tell me concern ka sa'kin?"
"Hell no! I'm just asking and please don't call me by my name."
"What's wrong with your name?" I teased him.
He look at ne with an evil eye and turn his back on her.
"Hey wait! Adriano!" I shouted to get his attention. He stopped walking and look back at her.
"I don't have my wallet, naiwan ko sa bahay."
"So?" he asked one eyebrow raised.
"Nagugutom na ako eh," ayaw ko sanang manghingi ng tulong sa kanya but since siya naman ang unang lumapit nagsabi na rin ako.
"So...it's that my problem?"
"Hindi, pero kung kaya ng konsensenya mo na hindi ako pakainin sige. "
A few minutes of silence but after awhile he spoke up.
"Okay just follow me," he
surrendered.
We went to the school canteen, and he ordered a food for us.
"Hey wait Adriano, dito tayo kakain? I saw a resto, d'yan sa labas lang ng school. Pwede namang lumabas 'di ba?" I asked him. It's not that I don't want to eat in our school canteen, I know the canteen staff prepare the food clean and well but the noisy crowd suffocates me.
" Mahal d'on!" he complained.
"Ano? Ang kuripot mo naman!" I said unbelievably.
"Hindi ako kuripot, kainin mo na 'yan," he said pertaining to the cheap foods on our table.
"Hindi ako gagastos para lang sa isang babae," he added and turned his back on me. I just shrugged while look at him storming out to the canteen.
ADRIANO
(Sorry Andrew typo error hahaha)
She's really testing my patience. Pasalamat siya at 'di kaya ng konsensya ko na may nagugutom dahil sa'kin. But if she's think na libre 'yon...nagkakamali siya. Babayaran niya 'yon pag dating namin sa bahay mamaya.
MATINA
I was about to lie on my bed when I heard a knock on the door. I opened it and saw Andrew.
"Hey what doing here in my room?" I asked him using my normal irritated tone.
"Maninigil lang ako ng utang," he said and entered my room without asking my permission. Well, this is their house but I guess I have the right to claim my privacy.
"What do you mean?" I asked and wrapped my hands around her shoulder. I just wearing a lose shirt and I wear nothing inside it. I hugged myself as I trying to hide my breasts.
He's trying not to laugh but he can't do it. So he laughed hard while looking at me.
"Anong nakakatawa? Isusumbong kita kila Mommy!" I was teary eyed.
"Calm down! I just dropped by para singilin 'yong utang mo kanina."
"Anong utang?" I asked him curiously
"Oh Matina... nakalimutan mo na ba 'yong kinain mong lunch kanina?"
"Magkano ba 'yon?" I asked him when she got back to her senses.
"75 pesos."
"75 lang pala eh!" I got my wallet from my closet and gave him 100 pesos. "Keep the change," I added as I handed him the paper bill.
"Hindi mo naitatanong pero boyscout ako n'ong elementary," he said and got something on his pocket and gave it to me.
"Here's your change_" he said and gave me a twenty five peso coins and got out from my room.
I took a sigh of relief when he left but afterwards the door opened again and Andrew took a peek on it. "One more thing, Don't forget to bring your own baon tomorrow," he said and left hurriedly.
"He's unbelievable!" I whispered to the wind. I took a deep sigh before lying on her bed.
