"I'm sure Jenny's just fine." Meghan assured me as we walked to my house after school.
"You know how much Brook likes to make up rumors."

"Yeah, I guess your right." I said. "But I still worry about her. I treated her and Savannah like shit." 

"Once again, that was all Brook's fault. You're the sweetest person I know." Meghan then wrapped her arms around me and leaned in to give me a kiss, but I backed away. 

"What's wrong?" Meghan asked with a worried expression on her face. 

"I'm still not comfortable with PDA... You know I haven't come out to anyone yet..." I said, feeling embarrassed.

I wanted more than anything to go out in public with Meghan and be treated like a normal couple, but I was worried of what people would think. 

Especially my parents.

They were both extremely religious and I wasn't sure how they would react. But I was madly in love with Meghan, so I knew I was going to have to tell them sooner or later. 

Almost as if she was reading my mind, Meghan held my hand and said, "We'll tell them together."

"I'm gay..." 

Those two words were all I had to say, yet they were so hard to come out. 

I was standing in the middle of the living room, Still holding hands with Meghan, with my parents both looking at me, confused. 

"What is it darling? Spit it out." My Mom said.

"I- I-" 

"Come on Angelina we don't have all day..." My dad said.

"I- I- I'm Gay..." 

As soon as I forced my mouth to say those words, my parent's facial expressions changed from confusion to anger. "What are you saying? No you're not!" My Mom said, raising her voice. "Come on Angelina, tell us you're joking..." 

"I'm serious. This is Meghan, My girlfriend..." I pointed at Meghan who tightened her grip on my hand. 

"For Heaven's sake Angelina, who have you been hanging around to make you think such disgusting things? Have we taught you nothing?" My mom said, getting up from the couch and crossing her arms. "I refuse to live in the same house as a homo. If you're gonna disobey the lord like that, I don't want you here..." 

"THEN I'LL LEAVE!" I yelled, with tears streaming down my face. "If you can't except your own daughter who you've raised for seventeen years for who she is, then maybe I should go..." 

"Honey, you still have a chance to change." My mom said. "Once you choose the right path, then God will forgive you for this sin and we will forgive you as well." 

"Love isn't a sin mother. I can't change who I am even if I wanted to." 

"Well, if that's the case then you're gonna have to move out." My Dad said. "You have until next Thursday to pack your bags and find somewhere to stay." 

"Don't bother... I'll just leave right now..." 

Without another word, Meghan and I ran upstairs into my room with tears still poring down my face. I frantically started searching for my suit case, and started stuffing random things inside. 

"I'm so sorry this happened Lina, your parents are assholes." Meghan said, helping me pack. 

"I knew they would react badly, but I didn't think it would resort to them kicking me out..." I said. "I don't even have a place to stay. Do they expect me to live in a box on the street or something?" 

"You can always come stay with me. My mom was very supportive when I came out, I'm sure she'll support you too since you're my girlfriend." 

"Thanks Meg." I said. "This situation could have gone so much worse if you weren't here." 

And with that, we were gone....

Keep in mind, this is what it's like to be gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, etc. Not many people support things like that and most of the time, it can lead to this...
