Part 5: Jesse's POV

It was like looking into a room of models. They were all so handsome. "Hey Ponyboy, who's the pretty girl?" One of them said. He was wearing a shirt with Mickey mouse on it. "Heyyyy purdy laydie" he sounded drunk. "Hi" I said quietly. "Who's the girl pony?" One of them said. He was soo handsome. He kind of looked like Ponyboy. "Oh uh this is Jasiah, Jasiah this is Sodapop" and he pointed to the handsome guy. "And this is my other brother Darry, that's two bit and that's Steve." They all said hi when Ponyboy pointed to them. " But call me Jesse." I said. Soda stood up and put his arm around me. "What do you say we go out for a drink?" But before I could say anything Ponyboy got upset and said "Hey back off she's mine okay?" Then he stopped talking and his face turned bright red. "Uhh um I- uh meant she just got here don't overwhelm her. Um anyways, uh I'm gonna go watch a movie anyone wanna come?" "Ill come with you!" I said. And we walked out the door. When he closed the door after us he started talking. "Uh I'm really sorry about what happened um back there, you know with the-" I cut him off "it's fine, you were just protecting me." And we made our way to the drive in. We took our seats and we started to watch. He put a strong, protecting arm around me and I leaned closer to him.
Ponyboys POV:
She was quietly watching the movie. Her brown eyes looked like gold in this lighting. It was so beautiful. I leaned over to her and I was about to press my lips to her check until she turned over to me. Not noticing, I accidentally kissed her lips instead of her cheek, it all happened so fast. I quickly pulled away " Oh um I'm so sorry I uh-" "it's ok Ponyboy." She said. My face was getting hot and I knew I turned red. "I uh, I actually kind of liked it" she said.
