Chapter 6: The First Day At A New School

I'm like obsessed with writing this story now!! Some of you might be angry at this chapter because of the Sierra girl but..... I'm really loving writing this!! Enjoy!!

Jace's POV
Kayla wouldn't talk to me.... It's all my fault.. I accidentally almost kissed her.. I got lost in the moment. I felt really bad, I had to try and get her to talk to me.

I got up and got ready for the first day of school... I texted Kayla to see if she would answer, she actually did.

The conversation

Jace ❤️: Heyy... You wanna walk to school with me?

Kayla 💖: Sure. We need to talk about yesterday...

Jace ❤️: on my way over

Kayla 💖: Kay.

I headed over to Kayla's house; she was waiting for me on her front step.

Kayla said" About yesterday..".

I interrupted her" It was an accident, I didn't mean for that to happen".

Kayla replied" I forgive you Jace, I'm sorry for running away from you yesterday".

I said" It's okay, I understand". We got up and walked to school. I helped her find her classes, we had 2 classes together.

Kayla's schedule
Mondays and Wednesdays
1st period: Biology
2nd period: Health
3rd period: Study hall
4th period: Math- With Jace

Tuesdays and Thursdays
1st period: History
2nd period: Math
3rd period: Study hall
4th period: English- With Jace

I walked Kayla to her first class so she wouldn't get lost. I couldn't stop thinking about yesterday. I started walking to my class when I bumped into someone....

I knocked them down on accident, I looked down and it was a girl, her name was Sierra. She was a Girl in my science class.

I helped her up and apologized" Sorry Sierra, I wasn't watching where I was going".

Sierra said" It was an accident, it's okay Jace". She was a really nice girl.

I asked" I didn't hurt you, did i?".

Sierra giggled" Nope, I'm fine... Thank you.. See ya later Jace". She walked away.

I thought: That was interesting.

Kayla's POV
I sat in my science class, being bored listening to the teacher... I felt a poke on the shoulder from someone behind me..
It was a girl who had shoulder length dirty blonde hair and brown eyes and she was really skinny. She was wearing a red tank top and a pair of black skinny jeans.

The girl whispered to me" Hey, you must be the new girl; I'm Cassadee".

I whispered back" I'm Kayla".

Cassadee smiled and whispered" Nice to meet you, let's be friends".

I nodded and laughed a little" Sure why not?".

My first two classes went by really quickly. It was lunch time.

Cassadee came up beside me and asked"Do you wanna sit with me and my friends?".

I nodded" Sure, I'm trying to find my best friend". I looked around for Jace.

Cassadee asked" Who?". She looked at me curiously

I answered" Um.. His name is Jace".

Cassadee gasped" Heyy.. He's my friend too.. I've known him for like 3 years".

I said" Awesome". Cassadee grabbed my arm and dragged me into the lunch room to the lunch line. We got our lunches and I followed Cassadee to a table..

There were 3 other people sitting at that table.

Cassadee introduced me" Kayla, this is my boyfriend Zach, my best friend Hailey, and my brother Joey".

I said" Hi".

They all greeted me" Hi Kayla".

I felt welcomed, I spotted Jace, he was in the lunch line with some girl. I felt a weird feeling when I saw him with another girl..

Cassadee asked" Kayla, you okay?".

I nodded but didn't take my eyes off of Jace and the girl he was with. Jace and the girl came over to the table I was sitting at and took a seat.

Jace said" Hey Guys". Sierra sat down beside him.

I whispered to Cassadee" Who's the girl beside him?".

Cassadee whispered back" Her name is Sierra Pachecho, she's really annoying sometimes".

I don't know why but I felt really really jealous.... Why was I jealous? Jace and I are just friends.. Why do I care so much??.

I got up from the table and left, I texted my dad and told him to come get me.. I lied and said I was feeling sick, but I seriously really didn't wanna be at this school right now....

My dad came and got me and took me home.. I walked into the house and my dad told me to go upstairs and rest. I headed upstairs and got into some comfy Pajama pants and a red t shirt.

I snuggled into my bed and watched some tv.. Thinking about my feelings...
It was about 1:45 and I heard my phone go off, I had a text message from Cassadee and A text message from Jace.

Cassadee: Hey girly, you okay?

Kayla💖: perfectly fine... 

Cassadee: Did you leave because of Jace?

Kayla💖: Kinda, don't tell him.

Cassadee: Why did you leave??

Kayla💖: Feelings... Idk...

I then read the text message from Jace
Conversation between Jace and I

Jace ❤️: Hey... You okay? You left early.

Kayla💖: I'm fine, just felt sick.

Jace ❤️: I'll come see you later.

Kayla 💖: Cant, my dad won't let me see anyone.

Jace ❤️: Okay :(are you sure your okay?

I didn't answer the text, I stayed in my bed for the rest of the day.

I think I had strong feelings for Jace... I think I liked him more than a friend....
