Jace's POV
I had Kayla back and I was happy, I should have never left her. I woke up and saw I fell asleep right by her hospital bed. I looked over at her, she was sound asleep.

I smiled, she looked so cute sleeping. I sat up and yawned. I sat there and watched her sleep. I decided to go get food. So I got up kissed Kayla's forehead and went and got a muffin from the vending machine.

I came back and Kayla's eyes were open, I sat back down in my chair and smiled" Well.. Good morning".

Kayla sat up in her hospital bed and stretched and lightly smiled back" Good morning".

I took a small bite of my muffin" How's your ankle?".

Kayla replied" It hurts".

I finished my muffin and took a seat next to her on her hospital bed" You might be able to go home either today or tomorrow, that's what the doctor said".

She nodded" It's so boring here".

I laughed a little" I know, but I'm here".

She said" I know, I like you being here".

I leaned over and kissed her softly, she kissed back.

The nurse then came in and gave Kayla pain meds and she signed her release papers. I helped her get into a wheel chair since she couldn't walk because her surgery was yesterday...

As we were leaving, we saw Diana's parents sitting in the waiting room crying.

Kayla worriedly asked" Jace? Can we find out what happened?".

I nodded and pushed Kayla in the wheelchair over to Diana's parents...

Diana's mom said" Hi Jace and Kayla".

I asked" What happened?".

Diana's mom started crying harder" Diana tried to kill herself".

My eyes grew wide and so did Kayla's.......

Kayla said" I hope she's okay".

Diana's mom replied" I hope so too, and I hope you get better to Kayla, you can go see her if you want.. I just couldn't handle it".

I nodded and pushed Kayla to Diana's room.. We saw her she looked terrible. She had a lot of dried blood on her.. She was still unconscious.

I saw tears run down Kayla's face.... She was really sad....

Kayla's POV
I sat there in my wheel chair Looking at Diana's unconscious body, tears ran down my face... I felt like it was my fault. I'm a bad best friend.

Jace saw me crying and asked" Hey, You okay?".

I lied and nodded" Please just take me home".

Jace nodded and wheeled me out of the hospital.

We got outside and Jace asked" Do you want me to carry you, instead of me pushing you all the way home in this wheel chair?".

I shrugged and sadly answered" It doesn't matter to me". My strong pain meds suddenly kicked in and I ended up falling asleep.

I felt Jace pick me up and carry me bridal style.. He was warm. I snuggled into his shoulder while he carried me. I heard him laugh a little.

About 20 minutes later, I felt myself being set on my soft comfy bed. I heard footsteps leaving my room... I knew it was Jace..

Before Jace left my room I softly said" Jace". I opened my eyes a tiny bit.

Jace said" Yes?".

I asked" Please Stay with me". He smiled a little and nodded. He came and cuddled next to me. I snuggled into his arms.

Jace asked" Kayla, Are you okay?".

I shook my head" No, I feel like Diana being in the hospital is my fault, I feel like a bad best friend".

Jace kissed my forehead and replied" It's not your fault. I promise... You think you can always be there for her but you can't, I know you try but you can't protect her from everything".

I snuggled a little bit closer and drifted of to sleep.. Before I fell asleep I heard Jace whisper" I love you.
