Chapter 19: The Mistake

Jace's POV
I woke up, I looked around and didn't know where I was.. I finally realized I was in the hospital. I had a bandage on where my rib was... I remember everything.... Besides what had happened for me to be here...

Diana came into my room... And saw I was awake she smiled and said" Hi Jace".

I said" Hey". Diana came over and kissed me on the cheek.

Diana asked" How are you feeling?". She sat down by my bed.

I answered" I'm doing okay, a little pain but I'll be okay".

Diana said" They are going to release you today".

I looked around the room, Kayla wasn't here, I then looked back at Diana and asked" Where's Kayla?".

Diana answered" She's getting her foot casted, it's broken into many pieces, she has to be in a cast for 6 to 8 weeks".

I sat up quickly and worriedly asked" Is she okay?".

Diana looked at me suspiciously and replied" Umm..? Yeah? She's gonna be okay, Umm.. I'm gonna go get some food".

I nodded" Okay". I watched as Diana left the room..

10 minutes later, I saw Kayla come into my room, she was on crutches and had a cast on her foot.

Kayla crutched over to my hospital bed and said" Hey".

I smiled" Hey, how's your ankle?".

She stood there resting on her crutches and said" Ehh, it hurts really bad, it doesn't even look like I have a foot".

I laughed" You can sit down". She set her crutches down and almost fell, I caught her arm and she sat down next to me on the side of the hospital bed.

She looked happy" I'm so glad your okay... I thought something bad was gonna happen to you". She started to tear up a little.

I sat up in my hospital bed, I gave her a hug and comforted her" Shh.. It okay, I'm right here". I know I'm dating Diana, but it felt so nice to have Kayla in my arms. I kinda didn't wanna let go... But I knew I had to.

As I pulled away our faces came close to each other, I stared into her pretty blue eyes.. She turned away...

I sighed" Kayla...". She grabbed her crutches and slowly stood up on one foot.

Kayla said" Um.... I have to go...". I really wanted to tell her not to go.. So I did..

I said" Wait...... Please don't leave..". She turned around and nodded and crutched over and sat down in a chair. We talked and I dozed off to sleep for a while and so did she... While we were sleeping.. We some how ended up holding hands.. We didn't tell anybody about it...

I really didn't mind.....

1 hour later

I finally got released from the hospital, I walked out of the hospital with Kayla right beside me on her crutches. We wondered where Diana was... She must have left the hospital..

I helped Kayla with her crutches as much as I possibly could. She fell twice over the rocky sidewalk...

Finally I asked her" Do you wanna ride on my back?".

She looked at me and answered" You just got out of the hospital, I don't wanna hurt you".

I smirked" Please, your really light and I don't like seeing you fall, please let me carry you on my back. I'm okay".

She rolled her eyes and sighed" Okay, if you really want to". She jumped on my back and I gave her a piggy back ride... As we were walking home.. I then saw Diana. She was talking to another boy.. I got a little jealous..

That made me mad and I said" Kayla? Look over there". I pointed to where Diana was.

Kayla looked surprised" Who is that?". I made my way over to Diana with Kayla still on my back...

I madly said to Diana" Soo... Why are you cheating on me?".

Diana looked at me confused" I'm not, Jace. This is my cousin".

I felt stupid" Oh.. I'm sorry... I didn't know".

Diana saw I had Kayla on my back and glared a tiny bit...

I carried Kayla on my back all the way home, I didn't mind either.... I really enjoyed it..

I think I still had feelings for Kayla...
