Jace's POV

I was heading to go see Diana at the hospital, she was getting released today.... It's sad that she doesn't remember me or Kayla..

I got into her hospital room and she looked at me weirdly" Who are you?".

It hurt to know my girlfriend didn't remember me" I'm Jace, Your boyfriend".

Diana said" Oh, Yeah right... Well Jace, I don't really remember you.... So I don't think I should be dating you since I don't remember you".

I sadly said" Oh, I understand"... She left me standing there as her doctor gave her the release papers.... I no longer had a girlfriend..

I headed home... When I thought Kayla can make me happy....

I texted Kayla

Jace❤️: Hey Kay Kays

Kayla 💖: Hey Norman....

Jace ❤️: Do you wanna hang out?

Kayla 💖: Sure where?

Jace ❤️: Meet me at the beach in 20 mins

Kayla 💖: On my way..

I headed to the beach, I stood there waiting for Kayla when I saw her hopping along on her crutches towards me... She lost her balance and fell on her face..

I ran over to her and laughed" Are you okay?".

Kayla giggled and nodded" Yeah, how are you doing with the whole Diana losing her memory?".

I sat down next to Kayla and said" She broke up with me an hour ago since she didn't know who I was".

Kayla looked shocked" I'm so sorry".

I joked" Come on, you know your happy she did".

Kayla looked at me really seriously" Jace.. I'm not happy she did that. I'm not that selfish".

I said" I was just kidding, your my best friend. I know you wouldn't sabotage a relationship".

Kayla looked down sadly and apologized" I'm sorry for her accident though, it's my fault".

I lightly slid my hand into hers" It's not your fault.".

I watched as Kayla's face turned red as I held her hand" Jacee....... I'm sorry".

I sweetly said" Kayla don't be sorry for something that's not your fault". I pulled her close and hugged her tightly....

Kayla's phone then went off as I was hugging her.... She checked it and said" My dad needs me home".

I nodded, stood up and helped her up and handed her crutches to her" Thanks for making me feel better".

She nodded" Your welcome".

As she started to hop away, I couldn't help it... I yelled" Wait Kayla".

She stopped and looked at me" Yes?".

I asked" Do you wanna go on a date with me?".

Kayla looked shocked" Wow really?".

I nodded" yes".

She smiled and said" Yes". She hopped over to me and kissed me on the cheek then hopped away on her crutches.

I had to forget about Diana, she obviously wasn't going to remember me.

I headed home and went to sleep... Dreaming of Kayla

The next day

I got up and got ready for school.... I texted Kayla to see if she was ready...

Jace ❤️: Hey, you ready?

Kayla💖: I'm waiting For you.

I headed outside and saw her standing there with her crutches waiting for me.

I said" You really didn't have to do that, I could have came to you.

Kayla smiled" I wanted to".

I carried her on my back all the way to school... I set Kayla back down on the ground and the bell rang" I'll see you later Kayls".

She nodded and hopped away on her crutches.

I saw Diana taking to a boy that was trouble... I walked over to her and pulled her away from him and asked" What are you doing?".

She looked at me irritatedly" I was talking to my crush".

I was shocked" What? Your insane, come on". I pulled her towards her classroom.

She yanked away and madly said" No Jace, leave me alone... I will like who I wanna like".

I madly replied" Fine, get hurt... Don't come crying to me when you get hurt".

I then walked away to class... I had Kayla... She's all I needed...
