Jace's POV
I was sitting in my room thinking about how Sierra cheated on me.. I guess I can't trust her.. She betrayed me..

I heard my phone go off, I ignored it.. And thoughts clouded my head I ended up falling asleep. I woke up like 45 minutes later and thought: I want Kayla..

I got up and headed over to her house. She was already outside.

Kayla said" Hey, how you holding up?".

I looked at her, she brightened my whole world and I replied" I'll be okay, I have my best friend to make me happy".

I noticed her face turned red after I said that.. She was so cute..

I laughed" you look like a tomato".

Kayla giggled and said " Well, You look like a clown".

I smiled really big and said" Oh.. You really wanna go there?". I tried to tickle her but she started running, I chased her. We ran all the way too the park and plopped ourselves down on the grass.

We were out if breath from running... I liked chasing her it was fun.

Kayla stuck her tongue out and said" I win".

I playfully nudged her and she fell over.

I hovered over her and teased" I win now".

She giggled, her giggle was the cutest sound ever.

We had a little staring moment, it's like the world just paused for a second. She then slid out from underneath me and stood up.

I said" We should get home".

She nodded and we started making our way back to our houses.

I walked her to her front door... Before I walked away.. Kayla smiled a little and said" Jace.. I had fun today".

I said" Me too". Then I headed back home...

I said to myself" I think I love Kayla....

Kayla's POV
I headed inside my house and closed my front door and stood there for a second... I thought" maybe It's time to confess....

I went upstairs and got into my Pajamas and got into bed.

I texted Jace

Kayla💖: Goodnight :)

Jace ❤️: Goodnight Kayla

That night I fell asleep with a smile on my face....

The next morning( Sunday)
I woke up and convinced myself that it was time to tell Jace my feelings.. I wasn't going to back out... I got up and got dressed and went over to Jace's house.

I knocked on his front door, he answered the door and said" Hey Kayla".

I had a serious look on my face and I asked" Can we talk please?".

Jace looked curious" Sure". He walked out of his house.

We were taking a walk and I thought: I'm gonna do this... No backing out.. He needs to know.

Jace asked" Soo.. What did you wanna talk to me about??".

I realized we walked all the way to the park, I struggled to speak as I walked over to the grass and sat down.

Jace was looking at me patiently waiting for me to answer..

I thought: Come on, tell him..

I took a deep breath and hesitated to get my words out..

Jace placed his hand on my shoulder and sweetly said" Don't be scared, You can tell me anything".

I took one more deep breath and spoke in a quiet whisper" I really really like you Jace.". I didn't wanna say love because I thought that it would be weird.

Jace barely heard me" I didn't hear you".

I spoke really softly and repeated" I have feelings for you..". I looked down and started fidgeting with my hands nervously. I felt Jace's hand lay on top of mine.

He grabbed my left hand and held it and said" I have feelings for you too, Kayla".

I was surprised to hear him admit to it..

I questioned" You really have feelings for me?".

He asked" Does this answer your question?". He scooted closer to me and slowly leaned in and kissed me softly.

I nodded" That answered my question". I smiled and bit my lip..

Jace pulled me into a hug and whispered in my ear" Will you go out with me Kayla?".

I hugged him back and said" Yes".

It finally happened... I was dating Jace...
