Chapter 17: The Adventure. Part 2

Kayla's POV
Diana and I got ready for our adventure, we had a big backpack and we started packing it, we brought food and water and a flashlight and other thing we might need for survival and safety..

I finished packing the backpack and asked" Are we ready to start our adventure to save Jace?".

Diana nodded" I miss him, I hope he's okay".

I thought to myself" I miss him more than I have ever missed anyone in my life..

We grabbed the backpack and started on our adventure...

We took a shortcut through the city so nobody would look at us weirdly.. We entered the forest jungle, I looked around... It was gigantic... I hope we would get through it in enough time to save Jace....

We walked for about 3 hours, then Diana said" Maybe we should rest here for the night, it's getting really dark".

I nodded" I agree". We brought sleeping bags because it was gonna be a long journey, the mountain was far away and very long and big.

We set out our sleeping bags, it's started getting ready cold. Diana and I snuggled down into our sleeping bags and we fell asleep.

I woke up in the middle of the night because I heard rustling, some bushes were rustling. It sounded like footsteps.

I shook Diana to wake her up and I stood up, Diana did too. We picked up our sleeping bags and as soon as I heard the footsteps come closer.

I yelled" RUN". Diana and I started running... A man was chasing us, he was scary looking... We ran for about 45 minutes and finally lost the man.

I thought inside my head: What a crazy place....

Diana said" Wow, that was a lot of running".

I was trying to catch my breath" Yeah, that man was creepy though".

Diana nodded" I wonder who he was".

I shrugged and checked my phone, we had no service. I looked at the time it was 4:37am.

I asked" It's 4:37am, should we start walking some moree?".

Diana said" Let's eat first". I nodded still out of breath and I sat down, I handed her a bag of chips and a peanut butter jelly sandwich. We sat there and ate..

I finished eating and so did Diana, we stood up and started walking again.. We were getting closer and closer but we were still kinda far away.

Jace's POV

I woke up from being unconscious again, I looked around and saw a man... That must be the person who kidnapped me. What does he want with me....

I couldn't get free, I was locked up in chains and my mouth was duct taped and my feet were tied up. I could barely move.

I sat there thinking: please come save me someone... I miss Kayla... Oh and Diana...

The creepy man saw I was a wake and spoke" Stupid Boy, your awake... Your not going anywhere your mine". He chuckled.

Kayla's POV
We stopped for a water break, then kept going we were almost to the mountain. We we reached the bottom of the mountain...

I said" The only way to get up there is to climb all these rocks".

Diana looked at me and asked" Isn't there another way?".

I looked around and saw a tiny little path. It was barely a path anymore it had a lot of rocks in the way... I said" This way". I pointed at the tiny path that was barely a path. Diana followed me.

We got farther up the mountain, I went to go take another step but the mountain started to shake.

Diana yelled" Hold on to something". She held onto a sturdy rock. I looked around but the Rocks in front of me were wobbly.
One big rock was tumbling down, I dove out of the way but I didn't make it far enough out of the way.

The big huge rock fell and crushed my ankle. I screamed in pain, the rock kept moving and pushed me towards the edge. I was laying on the ground with a big gigantic rock crushing my ankle, almost falling off the edge of the mountain.

Diana scaredly yelled" Kayla". She ran over to me and grabbed my hands and pulled me back up. I started crying because my ankle hurt so bad.

Diana was able to push the rock to where she could move my ankle.

Diana worriedly asked" Kayla?!? Are you okay?".

I wiped my tears and tried to stand up but... I couldn't walk on my ankle... It looked deformed...... Like it didn't look like a normal ankle... It was totally purple and I couldn't move my foot or my toes.

I screeched in pain and said" Diana, I can't walk.. My ankle is badly badly hurt".

Diana came over and helped me" It'll be okay Kayla.. Were almost to Jace". She helped me hop up the mountain... It sucked not being able to walk... Or use my foot at all... It hurt so bad......

It was much slower getting up the mountain because of Diana having to help me hop.

We reached the top of the mountain after two hours. Diana sat me down on the ground so she could examine.

Suddenly..... I heard Diana scream... I tried to get up. I hopped the way she went and when I turned the corner, I hid and I saw her being captured by the creepy man that we ran from...

He was holding a knife to her throat..

The creepy man evilly said" This ones a keeper". Then out of no where Diana was gone with the creepy man.

I screamed" NOOO". I lost my balance and fell down and hurt my ankle more. I started to cry in pain and because I didn't know what I was gonna do...

I'm useless with a hurt ankle, I can't walk on...... Especially when I have no feeling in it, it's deformed and I can't move it at all....

I didn't know what to do.......
