Chapter 10: Shocker

Kayla's POV

I was happy that Jace and I were talking to each other again but something still felt wrong... I guess I'm just going to have to get over him... It was gonna be really painful.

It was Saturday, I slept in until 10:30am. I finally woke up and checked my phone, I had 3 messages from Jace. And 2 messages from Cassadee.  I checked the messages I had from Jace. I decided to text Cassadee back later.

Texting conversation between me and Jace..

Jace❤️: Good morning

Jace ❤️: wake up sleepy head.

Jace ❤️ : Wake upp!!!!!!!

Kayla 💖: I'm awake dork.

Jace ❤️: Wanna go to the park?

Kayla 💖: Is Sierra going to be with you?

Jace ❤️: Nope just you and me..

Kayla 💖: Yes.

Jace ❤️: Cool. See you soon.

I headed into my bathroom and took a shower, I got dressed, I was wearing a white tank top, a pair of jean shorts and a light pink cardigan and Pink converse.

I headed downstairs and saw Jace waiting for me. I got the idea.... I ran out of my house and tackled Jace to the ground.

I started laughing so hard, it was hard to stop.

Jace looked at me and asked" What was that for?".

I replied" It sounded fun and it was really hilarious".

Jace laughed and pinned me to ground and started tickling me... He made it to where my laughs wouldn't end....

I finally kicked him off of me and said" Okay, okay". I stood up and brushed myself off. Jace and I had some really fun times.

We headed to the park... We walked around and just talked....

He didn't even mention Sierra once... I kinda wish he wasn't with her.. But things are what they are.

As I said that I saw something I thought I would never see.. Jace went to go get some water... I saw Sierra kissing another guy... My mouth dropped open..

Why would she hurt Jace like that??
Jace walked back over to me and handed me a bottle of water....

I had to tell him... He's my best friend...

I lightly spoke" Jace...there's something you have to see".

Jace looked at me confused" Okay? What is it?". I pointed across the grass over where Sierra and the boy she was kissing was...

Jace's mouth dropped open too and he spoke" She's cheating on me?!?".

I said" I'm sorry.... I wouldn't have showed you but... Your my best friend and I don't like keeping things from you".

Jace smiled a little" Thanks Kayla, I have to go". He walked away.... He had to hurt some... But I felt so bad...

I headed home and hoped that Jace was okay. I texted him

Kayla 💖: Heyy, Are you okay?.

He didn't answer me..... I was officially worried...
