Kayla's POV
It was 8:45pm, I sat on my bed with my headphones in listening to music and reading a book. I couldn't stop thinking about Jace...

I finally decided to go to sleep.... I laid down in my bed and got under my purple bedspread and drifted off to sleep.

The next morning
I found my self waking up really early this morning. I don't know why but my eyes popped open at 6:45am. I laid in my bed for like an hour. Then I finally decided to get up.

I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs.. My dad wasn't home.. I wonder where he went.. The house was really quiet. I felt kinda lonely... I sat down at the kitchen table and ate some toast.

3o minutes later, I heard my phone go off.. I picked it up and saw Jace texted me.

The text message conversation
Jace ❤️: Morning

Kayla 💖: Morning to you too.

Jace ❤️: Do you wanna go to lunch with my brother and his girlfriend and I?

Kayla 💖: Umm..... Maybee....

Jace ❤️:please.. I don't wanna be lonely.

I thought about it for a moment and then texted Jace back.

Kayla💖: Fine. 

Jace ❤️: Yay! :) thanks Kayla, I'll see you at 10.

Kayla💖: Kay.

I spent the next 2 hours watching Henry Danger and lounging on the couch.  Not realizing what time it was i heard my doorbell ring.

I got up and answered it... Jace was 30 minutes early...

I looked at him confused" Why are you here 30 minutes early??....".

He replied" Umm.... Because I want to".

I giggled a little and turned off the tv and headed outside.

We got in Jace's moms car and Jace's mom drove us to a little diner place.. Jace and I got out of the car.

I said" Interesting". 

He laughed a little " It's not that bad".

We walked inside and I followed behind Jace. He lead us to a table where a boy and girl were sitting.

Jace said" Hey Xander, This is Kayla my... Best friend. Kayla this is my brother Xander and his girlfriend Hannah".

Xander said" Soo... Your the Kayla, Jace has been mentioning".

I nodded" Yes, The one and only".

Hannah smiled and said" It's nice to meet you Kayla".

I said" You too".

Jace and I sat down. I sat across from Hannah, and Jace sat across from Xander.  Hannah and I got a long really well.. We had a lot in common she loved Henry Danger too... I actually made a friend today.

Jace and I kept exchanging glances every once in a while.. I don't know why I couldn't stop looking at him..

The lunch finally ended and I said goodbye to Hannah and Xander. Hannah even gave me her number.

We were walking out of the restaurant when Jace said" That wasn't so bad, now was it?".

I actually enjoyed making a friend. I said" Nope, I'm happy I made friends".

Jace replied" You'll make more tomorrow".

I stopped walking, I was confused. I questioned him" What's tomorrow?".

Jace reminded me" It's the first day of school".

I almost forgot, I've been spending so much time with Jace I forgot all about it.

I acted like I didn't forget" Ohh, yeah.. What do you wanna do now?".

Jace answered" Do you wanna go hang at my house?".

I nodded" Sure". We walked to Jace's house and I followed him up to his room..

He looked at me and asked" Do you wanna play a video game?".

I said" That sounds fun". Jace and I played Mario Kart and I kept crashing into his go kart.

I won the race and I happily said" Haha, I win".

Jace laughed and started poking my sides, they were very ticklish. He wouldn't stop. I tried to get him to stop but I was failing.

We ended up on the floor, I was laughing so hard. We were like really close... He started leaning in closer to my face.

We were like 2 inches away when I finally got free and I got up and quickly said" I gotta go, bye".

Jace apologized" Im sorry... I wasn't...".
Before he could finish his sentence, I ran as fast as I could out of his house. He was yelling my name as I started running.

I ran into my house and locked my front door, I couldn't believe what almost happened.......
