***Bea's POV
"Yes, Ma'am," Harry says in a playful tone, winking at me.
He turns to walk to the front door and I give him the stink eye, even though he can't see me.
But I can't help but smile. It's hard to get mad at him sometimes because he makes me laugh.
And he uses that to his advantage.
The stinker.
Harry opens the door and I hear a precious voice that melts my heart into a puddle of mommy goo.
My smile is accompanied by tears when I see Harry walk over to me, holding Ferris on his hip.
"Hi, Mommy!" Ferris nearly flies out of Harry's arms.
"Hold on, Ferris," he laughs, sitting next to me with our daughter on his lap. "There you go."
"Hi, Ferris," I kiss her cheek repeatedly. "Mommy loves you and I've missed so so so so much."
"I love you, Mommy," she giggles, patting my belly. "Where's baby brother?"
"Sebastian's sleeping over there," I let my fingers comb through her curls as she turns to look, "so we need to be quiet."
Ferris looks up at me and nods.
She's such a sweet girl.
"Hi, Beatrice," my mom sets Ferris' suitcase down and hugs me. "How are you feeling?"
I close my eyes in her embrace. My mom is special to me. So is my dad, but I'm a Mamma's girl. We've always been close and I know I can go to her with anything. She is a wonderful example of what it is to be a great mother.
I only hope I can be as good of a mother for my children as she is to me.
"Hey, Mom," I pat her back. "I'm fine. Sore and tired, but I'm fine."
My attention is brought to my daughter who's playing with, more like pulling, my hair.
Harry playfully grabs Ferris and sets her on his lap. He tickles her and she giggles her adorable giggle.
"Well, I'm here to help," my mom soothes my shoulder. "Can I do anything for you?"
"I'm fine," I shake my head but my stomach decides to answer for me.
"I'll start dinner," she laughs softly. "I brought things to make chicken stir fry."
"You didn't have t- oh that sounds really good. I love those little corn on the- hey, where's Dad?"
My mom laughs softly. Even I have to laugh. My brain can't focus on one thing at a time nowadays.
"He's bringing in some meals that I made for you," she glances at Harry as she walks over to the bassinet. "They are casseroles that you just heat and eat."
"Thank you, Lauren. That was very thoughtful of you."
"It was no trouble, Harry," she smiles as she makes her way into the kitchen.
I know Harry appreciates my mom's gesture just as much as I do.
For the last couple of weeks, Harry has done all of the cooking, cleaning and laundry because I was put on bed rest.
He did everything without complaining and with his beautiful smile on his face. And I made sure he knew how much I appreciated him.
"I'll help your dad," Harry kisses my cheek before sliding Ferris next to me.
