9. "One-side" love

Baekhyun, as always, is in charge of letting everybody know that the last people missing, finally found out about their abilities. Important news, because it was probable that his monotonous lives within the labyrinth start to change.

The news made the people talk and mumble about them, and also about the advantages and disadvantages of knowing their powers. Kris and Tao are the only ones that leave the room in completely silence, something they usually do.

When the meeting is over, Baekhyun notices how, naturally, couples are formed. Since Kyungsoo appeared, he called him self as Jongin's boyfriend, and they're all the time together. Luhan is pretty evident when he's with Sehun, Suho and Lay practice together all the time, even if Lay didn't have battle abilities and only support him. Chen always troll Xiumin, until he hits him; and, Tao is never apart from Kris.

His situation is different from the others, it's more complicated. His life can be summarized in dying and killing for love, as simple as that. It doesn't matter how much he likes Chanyeol, or how much he feels attracted to him, he rejects him all the time.

Baekhyun knows more than the others, and that's why he can't be with Chanyeol, even if his sad face damages his soul each time they have a discussion about it. The most frustrating thing is that, even if he has an idea of what's going on, he can be so sure because he's afraid of being cheated. The only thing he's really sure about it, is that he can hurt his giant, and put him on risk. So, he prefers to make Chanyeol think that they have a one-side love. 


When Baekhyun found himself within the labyrinth, Chanyeol was the first person he met. They got closer immediately, they practiced together, and they overcome all the horrible tests that they experimented. They always supported each other, no matter what. Now, they've forgotten the first phases, but never their relationship intensity.

Baekhyun remembers with nostalgia his happiest moment in life. It's one of the oldest memories he has in that place. His body was very weak, because of the experiments. Chanyeol took care of him for an entire week, no eating, no sleeping, just concentrated on him and his health, absolutely terrified about loosing him. When he was totally recovered, Chanyeol suddenly kissed him when he discovered he was better. He was thankful, because he was strong enough to recover himself.

When the next phase was announces, they were divided in two groups "Law" and "Chaos," but there wasn't a real change in their daily lives, so they didn't take it serious. They both chose the Chaos group, to be able to be able to play around.

They were not a couple, they were not boyfriends, they were just friends that didn't let the other feel lonely. That's how their painful romance started. They began with little games, to holding hands, occasional kisses, and everything ended up as a tragic love story.

Because, as soon as things started to improve, Baekhyun disappeared for a while; and, when he was back, all they've built was gone. Chanyeol tried to give him some time, but Baekhyun's attitude was getting worse.

Actually, number 4 found out, in a terrible way, that accepting his feelings for the other guy could jeopardize him. Definitely, he won't be responsible for his hurt feelings. Baekhyun wasn't able to handle something like that.

-Jealous?- Chanyeol's deep and powerful voice interrupts his painful thoughts and memories.

-Why should I be?- dryly answers the black haired.

-You look the couples as if you want to be with someone in the same way. I think that I know who is the person that you're thinking about.

-Nothing and nobody makes me feel interested in this place, Chanyeol- assures Baekhyun, without looking at him. The taller male lowers his head, defeated.
