Your Point of View:
I awoke to darkness. A limitless, endless pit of black. I heard the soft sounds of two other voices that served as merely a background noise.
'Where am I?' I thought. The platform I was on felt very comfortable; possibly a bed? Although, my body felt extremely heavy and numb. I tried to move my legs, only twitching in response.
"Do you think she'll wake up anytime soon?" I heard a voice inquire. The voice caught my attention. I reluctantly pried my eyes open, only to be accompanied by a pounding headache. I slightly winced in pain.
'Why does my head hurt?'
"I think so," replied another voice, "look." The voice of the latter response seemed to be feminine, while the other one sounded much more masculine.
"Ah, she's finally waking up. I didn't think I had hit her that hard," the deeper voice uttered. My eyes clenched shut again as I struggled to remember how I had gotten to this piont.
'Wait a second, those voices. They both sound extremely familiar...'
I opened my eyes once more, fighting through the pain of a hot-headed migraine pulsating throughout one side of my head obnoxiously. Craning my neck slightly, I glanced at the two figures in which the voices belonged. A spark of anger ran through me at the sight of the brown-haired male who stood a few inches away from me.
That was the guy who had knocked me out in the forest! It was most definitely him.
He sure did have the nerve...
My eyes widened in realisation as I sat up quickly, ignoring the gaze I was getting from the other person. I stared intensely at the man with a wide-eyed glare. And with swift movement, I landed a hard punch on his side, making him stagger back a bit.
Yup, he had the nerve, alright...
"What was that for?" the man asked once he recovered, keeping his hand firmly at his side. I narrowed my eyes.
"What do you mean 'what was that for'? Are you the one who got knocked to the ground, unconscious?" I retorted back, clenching my fists in frustration. My voice sounded a bit quieter and hoarse than I had hoped. But I guessed it was just the effects of not using it for so long. In speaking of which: how long had I been unconscious?
The brown-haired male's voice brought me out of my thoughts, "well, I didn't exactly have a choice! Do you seriously think it's okay to jump from trees and tackle people?" he reasoned. I opened my mouth to say something, but quickly closed it, blushing at the memory. He was right. Maybe jumping on Irene hadn't been ideal; not to mention extremely embarrassing.
That's right, Irene is here.
I turned to my right, spotting the other figure that had been standing away from the bed awkwardly. I looked at her closely.
Yes, it was indeed Irene.
"Irene!" I exclaimed, nearly leaping of the bed to hug her. The only thing that prevented me was the irritating glare I had received and the words that followed shortly after from the brown-haired male that stood, now, about a metre away.
"Don't even think about moving from where you are," he stated firmly, taking one step closer. The seemed to be small traces of red residue around him. My eyebrows creased.
