??? P.O.V:
"It's getting late. We should probably go back to our camp." I reasoned, as I collected the firewood from the ground. I looked over at the girl I called my sister.
"Coming Kat!" Ruby replied.
I watched as Ruby ran over to me with another set of wood in her hands, along with one of her daggers.
As we walked through the forest trees, I started to think of an old friend of mine.
(Y/n).
It feels like it's been years since I last saw her.
Flashback~
I was shocked. I didn't know what I had just absorbed, but it was weird, and made me feel unusually energetic.
"What did you do?!" I exclaimed. The (hair colour) haired girl shook her head frantically and took a step back.
"W-what? Y-you're not Menphia! Why did you absorb the relic?!" The girl asked as she refrained from stepping back any further.
"I-I'm Kat; Katrina. I was just trying to find a very close friend of mine- well, more like a sister. I don't what I just absorbed, and I'd like to know soon enough. But my sister comes first. So whatever you do, p-please just don't hurt me." I plead. The girl's eyes softened.
"Don't worry, I wont hurt you. I understand how you feel about wanting to find you sister. I'm trying to find mine too." She paused. Then continued.
"I'll tell you what, why don't I help you look for your sister, and on the way, I can tell you what you just absorbed?" The girl asked. I nodded my head slowly.
"T-that would be great." I replied. The girl smiled softly.
"By the way, my name is (Y/n)." She added, before we headed off into the forest.
Flashback over~
But I knew it hadn't been years. Only months that seemed to lessen the fraction of the minutes Ruby and I had spent with her.
I would never forget the day (Y/n) told me that I had absorbed the relic of Menphia the Fury. I had yet to explore the most of my power, but with the help I had received from her, I was sure that I would make a great warrior.
I was pulled out of my train of thought, when a surge of energy ran through my body; leaving as fast as it came.
I dropped to the ground; knowing that I was on the verge of being paralyzed.
"Kat! Are you okay?! Oh my Irene!" Ruby exclaimed, her worry filled voice explaining the fact that she was clearly concerned.
"I-I'm fine; or at least, I will be." I struggled to say. Ruby gave me a sympathetic look as she rubbed my back.
Wait. I knew why this was happening.
"N-no, it can't be... s-she promised she wouldn't..." I trailed off. Ruby looked at me curiously.
"Why? What's wrong?" She asked inquisitively. I tried to control my breathing as I stood up.
"When (Y/n) explained the importance of my relic long ago, she said that she had a certain power t-that-" I was cut of by a sharp pain in my stomach.
"Ah, Kat!" Ruby exclaimed somewhat sympathetically. I gave her a weak smile.
"I'm fine." I replied. Ruby bit her lip. I took this as an opportunity to continue.
"(Y/n) had told me that one of her powers were so strong, anybody with a divine relic c-could f-feel the pain from a mile away. She promised me that she wouldn't use it s-so she wouldn't end up hurting me; that is, u-unless it's mandatory." I explained. Ruby's eyes widened.
"That could mean (Y/n) is only in a miles range! We could see her again!" Ruby exclaimed. I smiled. Partly because the pain had cooled down, and the fact that Ruby was happy. Seeing her smile was...
Refreshing.
"You're right." I confirmed. I instinctively grabbed the hilt of my sword, while picking up the dropped lumber from my other arm.
"We'll set out tomorrow to find (Y/n). If she had to use her 'emergency power', then that must mean she's in trouble." I reasoned. Ruby nodded.
"Okay! But first, I'm hungry." She replied. I picked my pace.
"Once said, it shall be done." I laughed, as Ruby giggled. And off we went to our camp; ready for the journey that awaited us tomorrow.
We were finding (Y/n).
We're coming to you. And we'll be together again.
Just like old times...
A/N: Hey guys! Sorry for those of you who saw that chapter I posted before. Wattpad is being a butt so I had to take the chapter down again. Now this is my idea of a short chapter (807 words excluding the author's note). I also want to say thank you to @Katrina_Kat_Le for the OC'S. I'm sorry for that 75 worded chapter. This chapter was what I originally wrote.
Now, these OC'S were a pass because they actually fit in to my storyline. I might not be taking any requests anymore.
Anyways, see you later guys!
-Aliya.
