Garroth's Point of View:

"...Will you a least say something? Your name, maybe?" I inquired curiously, staring intensely at the mysterious girl who sat opposite of the large oak-wood tree I had become so accustomed to. It was beginning to make me wonder how long I had really been in the Irene Dimension.

The lady seemed calm, as if at peace, or meditating. She didn't seem to want to pay any mind to me, and that was quite disturbing.

Her presence was disturbing.

Normally, I'd meet Aphmau here. We'd talk for as long as we could, and she'd fill me in on all the things I've missed in Phoenix Drop.

But now... this moment was different. Aphmau wasn't here, and instead, I was met with a(n) (eye/colour) eyed woman calmly resting on the grass.

"Hello?" I raised my voice a bit. The woman, who was once at ease, jolted in surprise, her eyes darting to my figure as if she hadn't noticed me before. She froze when she saw me.

"Who are you?" she asked quickly. "How did you get here?!" I took a step closer, taking a leap of faith with my words.

"I believe I should be asking you the same question," I retorted, crossing my arms. She arched an eyebrow in disbelief.

"Do you know who I am?" she asked. I slowly shook my head.

"Do you know what this place is, exactly?" I shook my head once more, my confidence slowly draining.

"I thought as much..." she muttered while looking down. Her gaze was then directed towards me.

"I'm sorry," she apologized while she shook her head, seemingly scowling herself. She brought out a hand to shake.

"My name is (Y/n)," she said. I took her hand in mine, feeling her cool skin while I shook it briefly.

"(Y/n)? That's a beautiful name. W-well in any case, my name is Garroth and it's a pleasure to meet you," I stammered. I soon realized the bluntness of my statement and quickly apologized. (Y/n) smiled mischievously and chuckled.

"No, don't worry about it... thank you," she replied. I smiled slightly.

'She has a beautiful smile,'  I thought, not even thinking to regret the thought. My eyes followed (Y/n) as she made her way back to her previous spot on the grass. I chose to sit next to her, putting a distance between us.

"So, what brings you here?" she asked, tilting her head to the side. I sighed and stared at a spot on the ground. Memories of my horrible mistakes began to cloud my thoughts. I gulped, my throat feeling tight. Regardless, I forced myself to talk.

"I... betrayed some very close friends of mine and was blinded by jealousy," I uttered quietly. "My brother, Zane, convinced me to join him in a rebellion against the lord of a village I used to serve, called Phoenix Drop. And because I was so jealous, I complied," I continued. I glanced at (Y/n), expecting her judgement. But there was none of that in her eyes. She simply listened intently, as if quietly sympathising with me.

And the last thing I deserved was sympathy.

"I joined his side, not realising that he was power hungry for an artifact of some sort in the Irene Dimension." I caught (Y/n) flinch slightly from my peripheral vision, making me a bit worried.
