*Long Chapter*
2nd Person Point of View:
You leaned peacefully against Garroth's shoulder, listening to the soft sounds of his breathing while your eyes were fixated on the book that he held in his hands.
Quality time with Garroth was exactly what you needed during such a stressful time. You found yourself feeling so relaxed around him. It even got to a point where you had stopped reading just to listen to Garroth's subtle-sounding heartbeat.
Every once in a while he'd glance down at you to see if you were doing alright, leaving a quick kiss on your forehead, earning him one of your charming smiles.
Soon enough, you were beginning to feel a bit tired of reading the 'Legends of Irene' book and your eyes were starting to feel heavy. You slowly rested your head on Garroth's chest; who now happened to be lying down on the bed with his knees propped up and the book resting in his lap. He subconsciously brought his arm around you, adjusting his position so that you would be comfortable. You chuckled under your breath.
"Between the two of us, you seem to be more interested in this book than I am," you commented. Garroth hummed.
"Yeah, I guess," he replied with a shrug. "It's just so interesting to learn about the divine and what they did. They played a very big part in our history," Garroth reasoned, his blue eyes lighting up a bit. You smile faintly.
"You're right," you replied, contemplating his words. You'd never actually thought of the Divine Warriors in such way. Perhaps it was because you had lived alongside them at some point in time. In speaking of which, you'd always wondered if anybody had taken it upon themselves to write a book about what you had done to help the Divine...
Probably not, you guessed.
"Back when I lived in O'khasis as a child, I only read a tiny bit about the divine. But my brother, Zane, did so more than I..." he trailed off, tracing light circles on the skin of your right arm with his thumb. The gesture nearly made you shiver, but you tried to concentrate on his words instead.
"Zane?" you inquired, as previous recollections of the Irene Dimension flooded your mind. You quickly shut them out. He was dead now. There was nothing to worry about. "That would make sense," you muttered. Garroth sighed.
"Unfortunately, it does," he responded. After that, there was a comfortable silence between the two of you. You slowly closed your eyes, continuing to listen to the sound of the book pages flipping every few minutes and Garroth's reassuring presence.
After a while, you opened your eyes to the sound of Garroth putting the old book down on the nightstand and turning his body to face you; engulfing you in his arms to bring you closer. You happily obliged, nuzzling your nose in his shirt while he kissed the top of your head. And the two of you stirred to sleep.
Aphmau's Point of View:
"Oh, Aaron," I whispered quietly. "Please wake up..." It hadn't been long since (Y/n) and the others had brought Aaron back--only about a few hours. But I just couldn't keep my anxiousness in. I just had to make sure Aaron was okay. Then, maybe he'd wake up...
My eyes scanned his face and I took notice of the scratches and scars that decorated it. Where did he get them from? Could he have possibly done that to himself? Or was it the Imps?
