3rd Person Point of View:
It had been about a week since Ruby and Kat first arrived. All three of you were ecstatic to spend as much time with each other as possible. But, that didn't seem to go as planned. Aphmau had been going through the weirdest mood swings. It was really starting to worry you.
Katrina seemed distant as well; as if she had something on her mind. Both you and Ruby figured it wasn't just her obvious crush on Laurance.
Besides that fact, you were also in the middle of an expedition to find a new island for the Phoenix Alliance Garroth had been talking to you about earlier. Aphmau requested for her strongest combatants. That meant you and Garroth had no choice but to go. Although even if Aphmau didn't ask for Garroth to come, he would've insisted anyways. It was one thing that made you the tiniest bit jealous. But you didn't worry too much about it.
In speaking of insisting, Ruby and Kat also decided it would be best to sneak onto the ship. 'The Stowaway Squad' was what they called themselves. You couldn't help but just laugh at their silliness. Aphmau didn't seem to mind at all. As long as she had sleep and a good cup of coffee, she'd be fine with just about anything.
Laurance also seemed much nicer to you. Even though the two of you had gotten off to a bad start, you were both cool with each other now.
"I really do ship you with Laurance though," Ruby teased. Kat covered her ears with her hands as her face was dusted lightly with red. You slightly chuckled. Ruby had been bothering Katrina since last week. You could have stopped her from doing so, but you figured it'd be funny to watch.
"(Y/n)! Can you please tell Ruby to stop making fun of me?" You shrugged.
"It is pretty funny to watch," you reasoned. Ruby smirked, thus making Katrina groan.
"I bet you also have a cru-" A sudden cry rang throughout the ship, interrupting Kat's retort.
"We've spotted land!" Your eyes widened. Was this really happening? You'd been on a boat for almost two days, you could finally be able to come in contact with land!
"Yes," you muttered under your breath. Land was finally near.
~Time Skip (cause I'm the lazy author)~
"Woah, this place is huge," you breathed out. You stretched your limbs and yawned tiredly. You felt a pair of arms engulf you from behind. You yelped, but then relaxed when you heard Garroth's chuckle ring through your ears.
"Stop doing that," you whined. Garroth just shrugged and rested his chin on your shoulder.
"Only for today," he replied. You rolled your eyes playfully and kept a small smile plastered across your face. Aphmau made her way off the ship before gasping at the view in front of her.
"Wow! This place is amazing!" You nodded your head in agreement.
"Yeah, we should probably split up into groups and explore," you suggested. Aphmau nodded. She seemed determined to make everything work in favour of the alliance.
"Of course! You and I can explore down the west side of the island," she stated. Garroth quickly held onto your hand.
"A trustee guard is always great at assisting," he reasoned. You smiled at him before squeezing his hand lightly. You suddenly heard a faint groan in the distance.
"Katelyn. You finally came out of that boat, eh? You're usually the first to come out," Aphmau called. Katelyn clutched her stomach and exhaled a deep breath.
"I was a little too busy puking my guts out," she replied. You watched as Travis, Lucinda, and Aaron filed out of the ship. You had gotten to know more about Travis, Lucinda, and Katelyn. The three of you talk often. But you haven't said a word to Aaron.
"Katelyn, Travis and Lucinda can be in one group," Aphmau orated. Katelyn began to whine.
"But Aphmau, I don't want to be in a group with him! He's too annoying!" Aphmau ignored her and smiled. Lucinda just shrugged.
"I'm fine with whatever," Lucinda stated boredly. Travis... well, he looked like the happiest man alive.
"Laurance, Kat, and Ruby can be in another group. Is everything clear?" You made eye contact with Katrina and mischievously raised a brow, a smirk plastered on your face.
"Everything's just fine," You replied. Ruby snickered, making Katrina cover her face. You couldn't help but wonder how bad it was about to get for Kat...
Meh, she'd figure it out.
"What about Aaron?" You asked. You eyed the male suspiciously. You often wondered if he could see you or not through that bandana he always wore. Aphmau's eyes widened.
"Oh Aaron, I'm so sorry. You can come with us, is it okay with you?" The man nodded.
"It's fine," he replied, as he walked ahead of your group. You glared at Aaron's back. You didn't know him that well, and if he tried anything, he wouldn't live to see another day. Your hand instinctively grasped the sword in your sheath. You were ready.
"Okay everyone, let's all set off. We'll meet back by sunset," Aphmau declared before linking arms with you.
"Let's go!" She cheered. Aphmau seemed to be in a better mood. You had also gotten a sincere apology from her. The two of you were now closer. You just desperately hoped that she would remember. You hoped she would remember that you were her sister rather than her friend.
You waved at Ruby. She waved back with a smile before playfully punching Kat on the arm. Kat rubbed her arm and scowled Ruby before glaring at you.
She mouthed the words: 'I'll get you back in no time', then turned to leave. You silently chuckled to yourself before shaking your head.
"Those girls," you muttered.
A/n: Hope you enjoyed. I'm so tired...
