I'll let you know when to start the music.
(A/n): THIS WILL GET VERY fluffy. I THINK THIS IS A LIME!
Edit: Actually, nah. I don't it's that bad. It really isn't. I promise. But I think it'll make you blush a bit.
Please, if your heart is not ready to handle that, I'll give you a warning on when to stop reading and move forward. Hope you enjoy the chapter! Garroth time!~
Your Point of View:
As I opened the bedroom door with a slight 'creak', I noticed two things: the gas lamp had been lit, and Garroth was awake. He sat up, his back against the fluffy pillows, with the 'Legends of Irene' book in his hands. Upon my entrance, he glanced up at me. I smiled curiously before shutting the door behind me.
"You're awake?" I asked, eager to get under the covers. Garroth nodded his head with a small grin. I inwardly gushed.
'He's handsome. Way too handsome...'
"Yes. I couldn't sleep," he replied while I slid off my combat boots. I hummed questioningly.
"Again?" I inquired with an eyebrow raised slightly. "Are you getting any weird feelings again?" Garroth shook his head. I could feel his eyes following me.
"No," he started. "I just couldn't sleep because your side of the bed got cold." I smirked at his reply, wanting to laugh at his cheesiness.
"I don't know whether I should laugh or feel flattered," I commented lightheartedly. My feet padded against the wooden planked floor as I made my way over Garroth's side of the bed. I kissed the side of his temple tenderly before running a hand through his blond hair. Garroth leaned back against the headboard, humming in content. I chuckled softly.
"Well, I'm here now," I whispered with a smile before crawling over Garroth's lap to get to my side of the bed. Garroth grabbed my waist, stopping me mid-way. He pulled me onto his lap and I squealed in surprise.
"What?" I asked as he looked at me funny. Both his hands rested on my sides and the book he'd been reading now rested on the nightstand. Garroth shrugged, flashing a charming smile before hugging me close, placing a row of kisses along the side of my neck.
"Ah! Garroth, stop! That t-tickles!" I laughed, attempting to push him away. Garroth shook his head childishly and nuzzled his nose into the crook of my neck.
"No," he muttered with a cute stubbornness. "You've been gone for too long."
"I was only out for a bit!"
"Well, "a bit" was too long," he retorted, his voice under a whisper. I shuddered as his breath tickled the bridge of my neck to my shoulder. I laughed softly, lacing my arms around his neck.
"Who knew you could be so clingy at this time of night?" I noted out loud. Garroth looked deeply into my eyes, seemingly searching for something in them. He didn't reply.
And in speaking of which, he hadn't said much since I'd entered the room. He'd been a bit silent. And quite observant.
"May I...kiss you?" he asked softly after a moment of silence, his eyes trailing down to my lips. I bit them softly and smiled at Garroth's tenderness.
"You don't have to ask..." I trailed off, as the gap between us slowly lessened.
