"Uh, Aphmau. What brings you here?" Garroth asked after he opened the door.

Aphmau began to check Garroth out therefore, making my blood boil. Garroth seemed to take note of this and excused himself politely and closed the door.

"Need to find a shirt." Garroth muttered before he picked up a plain white shirt. I got up from the bed and decided to talk with Aphmau myself.

I opened the door and was face to face with Irene.

"Why hello!" I greeted with fake cheeriness. Aphmau fake smiled.

"Hi." She mumbled through gritted teeth. She took a deep breath and exhaled before she resumed talking.

"I thought you might want to know this as well." Irene started. I felt a presence behind me and immediately knew it was Garroth.

"We will be going on an expedition tomorrow in the region of Tu'la. Let's just say we're... wanted there for something that Laurance did." She said. I gave a curt nod. It had always been business with Irene. But I guess Aphmau will never know that.

"I'm up for it." I replied. I instinctively reached for my swords only to realize that I had left them at Cadenza's house.

Oh yeah! We hit it off pretty well. She made me a beautiful leather jacket that I swore to keep forever.

"Right." I muttered. "I have to go. I'll be back." I called over my shoulder as I swiftly slid down the ladder.

Garroth's Point of view:

"She's only been here for a few days and she's already got somewhere to go?" Aphmau asked. I shrugged. Aphmau trained her eyes on me before speaking.

"Don't you think (Y/n) is a bit weird? I mean, despite the fact that she saved you from the Irene Dimension and all." Aphmau said. I leaned my side against the door frame.

"She told me her past in the dimension. She said she was looking for her sister." I replied. Aphmau shook her head.

"And she claims that I'm her sister! Look, I don't even remember having a sis-" I cut Aphmau off before she could continue to speak.

"If you can't figure out your own past, what gives you the right to deny someone else's?" I asked. Aphmau looked down at her feet and clenched her fists.

"Aphmau, I need you to understand that she's trying to help you, bring you back to who you once were." I said. Aphmau's head shot up.

"Everyone tells me that I'm Irene." She said in a dangerously low voice. "I tell them that I can't be someone I don't know how to be. I don't understand. I know you are my first in command Garroth, but for the first time ever, I am going to have to say that you are wrong." She said with a strained voice before she ran out of the guard tower.

"Oh my Irene, not tonight." I muttered before closing the door and putting on my armor.

Your Point of view:

"Thanks Cadenza!" I chirped before heading out.
