Your Point of View:

"Battles we can win, if we believe our souls... I remember that!" I exclaimed, as I read from the book before me. Garroth continued reading without me. I lightly hit his arm.

"Hey! Stop doing that," I complained. Garroth smiled and put his hands up in defense.

"I'm not doing anything!" He laughed. I pouted at his response and closed the book. I set the book down on the small coffee table beside Garroth's bed.

"We, are going to go for a walk," I declared. Now it was Garroth's turn to pout.

"Why? Can't we just... sleep?" Garroth whined. I shook my head and walked towards the doorway.

"Ha, ha. Nice try. Come on, I feel weird right now; therefore I need to walk it off," I reasoned. Garroth sighed and followed me out of the guard tower.

Leaves of seasonal colours littered the ground. I picked some of the leaves from the ground and added them to my 'leaf bouquet'. Every once and a while, Garroth would pick an almost perfect leaf and hand it over to me.

"Here you go love," he would say. I smiled at the bright colours once again. These elements of nature mesmerized me.

I would often catch Garroth staring at me as we walked. This only sent my cheeks turning the colour of the red Fall leaves that I held in my hands.

After a few moments of silence, I sped up a bit before I found myself breaking into a small sprint. I heard a small chuckle from Garroth before we were within a meter's reach. Carefully holding my bouquet in one hand, I used my free hand to latch onto a tree branch whilst pulling myself up.

"Careful," Garroth commented worriedly. I rolled my eyes and got to the top of the tree.

"Garroth, I saved your butt in the... Irene Dimension. What makes you think I can't climb a tree?" I asked. Garroth followed after me shortly and sat on the tree beside me.

"Hey, I didn't say that. I just care about you... that's all," Garroth reasoned. I looked down and smiled at Garroth's reply. I was smiling an awful lot today.

As I looked down at the ground, I noticed two others... two people. And they looked awfully familiar from my bird's eye view.

Garroth followed my gaze when he saw that I was intently staring at the figures below us. I got up from my sitting position, and stood on top of the tree branch instead. Garroth remained seated.

"Why is it that every single time I spot somebody familiar, I happen to be on a tree?" I muttered to myself. I listened in on the conversation between the two mysterious people.

"I think we've arrived at the right place Ruby. I just can't seem to feel the surge that I did a while ago..." stated the first person. She appeared to be a girl about my age. The next person spoke. She also turned out to be a girl, but seemed younger.

"It's fine Kat. Don't worry; we'll find (Y/n) and I'm sure of it!" My eyes widened in realisation as I dropped the bouquet of leaves. I watched as they flutter, flutter, fluttered away.

I slipped down the tree and dropped to the ground with a light 'thud'.

"Ruby? Katrina?" I asked in confusion. Katrina whipped her head to the direction of my voice as well as Ruby.

"(Y/n)!" Ruby exclaimed, as she ran up to me for a hug. I hugged her back.

"Oh my gosh, you're so tall now!" I exclaimed. Ruby giggled in response.

"(Y/n)... wow," breathed Kat. I looked up and smiled at her.

"Wow to you too! How have you been holding up with your relic?" I asked. Kat smiled.

"I think I've got a decent control over it," Kat replied satisfied. I raised a brow.

"Decent control? You should have a stable control," I retorted. Kat shrugged. I shook it of though.

"(Y/n)? Who's that?" Asked Ruby. I turned around to see Garroth behind me. I smiled.

"Oh right! Ruby, Kat, this is Garroth-"

"Her boyfriend," Garroth cut in with a smile. I blushed at his bold response. Where we now a "thing"?

"R-right! And Garroth, this is Ruby and Katrina; some old friends of mine," I continued. Garroth greeted them formally, and Kat (along with Ruby) did the same. After our little reunion, we all agreed to go back to New Phoenix Drop.

"So, you're not in trouble?" Ruby asked. I tilted my head.

"Well, not anymore. Garroth save- OH RIGHT! Guess who has Esmund's relic?!" I added excitedly. Katrina motioned towards Garroth with a nod of her head.

"Who? Is it this lucky guy?" She asked while playing with the hilt of her sword. I nodded excitedly. Katrina chuckled.

I looked over at Garroth. He looked back at me and smiled; making me smile back.

After making it to Phoenix Drop, we were met by Laurance. He seemed to have recovered completely already. Aphmau was still being tended to.

"(Y/n)! Garroth! Is it okay if I could talk to you for a few seconds?" Laurance asked. I stayed quiet before replying "sure". I glanced back at Katrina and Ruby. Kat seemed to be studying Laurance whilst Ruby was poking Kat's cheek.

"Ooh! You like him!" She teased. Kat just rolled her eyes, but blushed. I slightly chuckled before choking my laughter down.

"I'm so sorry," Laurance said; bringing me out of my thoughts. I looked at him blankly before realising what he was apologizing for.

I had already forgiven him. It had been a few days since the incident had taken place. Both Garroth and I figured that Laurance was ignoring us, so we decided that when they were ready to talk; they could come and speak up themselves.

"It's fine," Garroth replied. I had calmed him down the day after the fight had happened. If I hadn't told him that forgiving was better, Laurance's head would've been off by now.

Laurance looked at us; surprised by his answer.

"R-really? T-thank you so much," he responded before turning to Ruby and Katrina.

"Who are they?" Laurance asked. I smiled.

"Those are some old friends of mine. I was about to go see Cadenza and ask if they could borrow her house for the mean time... is that okay?" I asked. Laurance nodded.

"I'm sure Lord Levin won't mind," replied Laurance. I nodded before motioning Ruby and Kat over.

"Forward and onward to Cadenza's house!" I joked before skipping ahead. Garroth didn't follow.

"Hey Love? Is it okay if I stay here and talk with Laurance? I'll meet you back at the guard tower," Garroth orated. I nodded before continuing my journey, with my long lost friends.

A/n: Hi! I have been working on something huge for this book. I chucked my old ideas in the trash. So anytime I take long to update, it means that you should expect a long chapter (or maybe two).

And, I also have theme songs for EVERY character in this book so... yeah. They are all from FFXI AND FFXIII. I got nothing else to say.
