A/n: Remember what happened previously with Laurance and Katrina? If not, let me refresh your memory, it's been a while, hasn't it? Also, the picture above belongs to Bladedog on DeviantArt.

Once again, you had passed Laurance and Katrina's room on your way. The door was shut, which tempted you to slam the door open, but you refrained from doing so. Besides, as long as Ruby was there, there'd be absolutely no way anything serious could be happening in that room.

"Hey, (Y/n)! Where are you going?" a familiar voice asked. You paused mid-step.

Well, speak of the devil.

"Ruby?" you asked, confused. "Hey... what are you doing?" Ruby's eyebrows creased.

"Uh, nothing at the moment... why? Do you need something?" she asked. You blinked, looking between Laurance and Katrina's room door and Ruby's curious glance. You shook it off.

"Never mind..." you muttered, deciding to save Laurance and Katrina some trouble.

3rd Person Point of View (Takes place before the chapter "Confiding in (Y/n) {Part One}"):

There was a thin silence after (Y/n) left to speak with Garroth. Katrina's hands stayed firmly rooted to her face, while the awkward tension grew. Ruby cleared her throat.

"Laurance, I didn't know you found my sister 'cute'," she noted aloud, eyeing him mischievously and crossing her arms. Laurance looked up at her from the book he held in his hands. Katrina eyed it for a moment.

'He had been reading that exact same book last night,' she thought. 'What could it possibly be about?'

Laurance silently shrugged with a faint smile, stretching his arms and limbs in the process. "Well, now you know," he simply replied before glancing at Katrina, then redirecting his attention to his book. Ruby muttered a few incoherent words before looking at Katrina. She rolled her eyes when she saw that her sister's eyes had darted from Laurance and back down to her hands, her cheeks flushing.

"Come on Katrina," Ruby muttered under her breath. "Geez, you're so sensitive. One statement from Laurance and your cheeks flare redder than a Shadow Knight."

"Ruby, stop!" Katrina complained, her nose flaring. Quickly, she faceplanted into a pillow that lay adamant on the bed. She squeezed her eyes shut, wishing she could just disappear. Ruby laughed.

"I'm kidding!" she exclaimed once she stood up. But only before muttering, "not..."

Kat grumbled in annoyance, stuffing her face deeper into the pillow. Ruby walked towards Laurance, extending her arm in an attempt to quickly snatch his book from his grasp. But Laurance slightly pulled the book away from her reach, without taking his eyes off the page he had been reading. Ruby raised a curious eyebrow.

"What are you reading?" she asked curiously. "Is it your diary?" she asked with a smirk. Suddenly, Katrina raised her head from her pillow; strands of her hair falling into her line of vision.

"If it were his diary, why would he be reading it instead of writing in it?" Katrina reasoned, stating the obvious. Laurance sighed exasperatedly and put his book down.
