Joseph is the first person who left the meeting room dala na rin ng labis na pagkainis. Mas lalo lang ata siyang nabwisit dahil sa meeting. He left everyone without saying anything.
Naglalakad ngayon si Arnie papalabas ng headquarters ng mga Sakamoto. Her black coat is just hanging on her shoulders. Nang makalabas, she took a cigarette and lighted it up.
"We'll leave after this," she said to her guards. Tumango lang ang mga ito at saka lumayo but still guarding their mistress.
Nagbuga siya ng hangin habang inaalala ang nangyari noong araw bago ang kasal.
"It is as exactly as what you depicted," she muttered. "...Alexandra."
The day before the wedding, Alexandra sought Arnie's presence. Kahit gusto niyang siya mismo ang pumunta sa kaniya ay hindi niya magawa dahil pinagbabawalan siya ng kaniyang ama. She was left with no choice but to ask Arnie to come to her instead.
"What am I doing here?" mataray na tanong ni Arnie pagkapasok na pagkapasok ng kwarto ni Alexandra.
She asked first the guards to leave them for a while. At dahil si Arnie naman ang bisita, wala silang ibang choice kundi ang hayaan ang dalawa. They left the room and guarded it outside.
Binaba ni Arnie ang bag sa may couch at humalukipkip. Hindi man lang nawawala ang pagkamataray sa kaniyang mukha. Alexandra left her seat on the vanity table. Inikot na muna niya ang tingin sa paligid before answering Arnie.
"I'm sorry for asking you without explaining why. I can't risk exposing the details on my phone," she said trying to sound polite. "And I know you have no reason to see me since I hurt your—"
"Get to the point, Alexandra. I have no more time to deal with you. Seeing you makes me sick."
She ignored the rudeness. "I am here to tell you the truth."
Arnie fell silent. All of a sudden, nakaramdam siya ng kaba. That is not what she is expecting. "Truth? About what?"
"About your husband," she straight up answered. "I am sorry kung ngayon ko lang siya sasabihin. I was too weak and I am just following my—"
"I don't need your explanation. What I need to know is the truth you are talking about."
Natahimik doon si Alexandra. She suddenly felt nervous because of how Arnie is acting up. But she has to do this now.
She has to do it right now.
"It wasn't the Lees who killed your husband. It was my father."
Ramdam na ramdam ni Arnie kung paano nanlamig ang kaniyang katawan dahil sa nadinig. She just stared at Alexandra in shock while her lips are parted.
"W...what...?" halos wala na siyang boses. "What...do you mean..."
"I'm sorry," Alexandra cried. "If only I am not weak I could have told you the truth earlier...I'm really sorry..."
A tear fell from Arnie's eye. "Why...why are you crying? I...I should be the one..."
Hindi siya makapaniwala. Joseph has been manipulating her all this time making her believe that it was the Lees who killed her husband.
She can't believe this. She felt her soul being shaken because of this.
"I...I killed Margaux for it...I k—killed my friend because of it..." wala sa sariling niyang sambit. It's too soft that only she can hear it.
