Back to the Lee University, Sebastian is currently in the hallway walking casually habang paikot ikot ang tingin sa paligid, trying to find someone.
Akala niya ay naghanap siya sa maling lugar, until he saw her from afar. A smirk plastered on his lips and walked to his target.
"Marielle."
Nagsalubong kaagad ang kaniyang kilay nang makilala kung sino ang lalaking tumawag sa kaniya. She faced him properly. "What?"
"Where's Zoe?"
"The hell would I know about her whereabouts?"
"How about Alexandra?"
Mas lalong lumalim ang gusot sa kaniyang noo. "Most importantly that girl."
"Hindi ba't magkakaibigan kayo? Paanong hindi mo alam kung nasaan sila? Don't you really know or you're just hiding her most importantly Alexandra?"
She flinched to that question. That was so direct. That accusation was so direct. Ni hindi man lang niya finilter ang kaniyang mga salita.
His voice was loud enough to be heard by the students near them. Nagsimula na rin ang mga bulungan.
"So this is about Cheska's abduction. Thought you're as a student council—"
"I am asking as a student council officer."
She scoffed and gave him a smug look. "Didn't Andrei made himself clear when he said this is a Mafia business and you must stay out of it?"
"Oh? May I remind you that you are not untouchable inside this place and since you are acquainted with both Alexandra and Andrei, it's a matter of time now until your punishment is served."
"You can't do—"
He stepped forward and said, "This university has rules and every broken rule is equivalent to punishment. No matter who you are, no matter what you are if you broke a rule, you will be punished accordingly. You are a student here. Nothing more nothing less.
"Now now, will you prove to me you have nothing to do about this? If you made sure you are innocent, the president won't do anything to you."
Marielle's jaw clenched and looked away. She shut her eyes tightly, nagtitimpi.
"I know nothing about it though I am expecting for Alexandra to move like that—to use her brother so she will remain unharmed from the possible punishment if she is caught.
"There's no way Alexandra will still trust us in handling Cheska since the last time we did, she knocked us out. She doesn't want to make mistakes anymore—especially after she used Julie. Kung may nakakaalam doon, it could be Zoe. She's Andrei's girlfriend. She might know something."
"Hm?" his head tilted to one side. "And where is Zoe?"
"Sabing hindi ko nga alam diba?" inis niya itong tinignan. "But I am certain she's not here. He's probably out there. Hindi ko alam. Hindi ko alam kung saan siya naglalagi. We're not the kind of people who updates each other regarding what we do."
Hindi umimik doon si Sebastian ngunit nanatili ang kaniyang titig kay Marielle. Mas lalo siyang nainis dito.
"May kailangan ka pa ba? I answered your question."
"I have one last question. I will leave once you answer it."
Her brow arched. "What?"
"What are you doing here today?"
